Rooney pov:

Some thime passed and we already started shooting, the first day was so exciting for me. I wasn't new to the job but that would be one of my favourite movies to make for a lifetime, I just knew. We had had these two weeks of rehearsal in which I got to know all these people pretty well, I also got to know that Cate was just a normal person like me or the others. I did a few scenes with Jack at first, until Cate and I did the kissing scenes in bed.
I probably was the most nervous I had ever been, let's be honest I'm not only kissing someone, but it's Cate !!!!
I couldn't undermine the slight feelings of butterflies and serotonin in my system when I kissed her, she was just so magical.

It now was a few months later, we were almost through with shooting. I was already prepared to go home since we just finished for the day when Cate and Todd called me to them. I went through the things in my mind I possibly could've done wrong but I just couldn't find anything.

When I arrived where they were standing, I saw a wide smile on Cate's face and it made me relax a bit, guess my mind switched off the idea that I did something bad. She came up to me and pulled me to Todd.

"So Rooney, we gotta tell you something."

Cate started to talk.

"Oh okay, what is it?"

"Me and Cate, we thought of something... sooo since it's your birthday tomorrow, and we actually don't want to get you into filming on your special day but the schedule is very full, we thought you may like to do the waterloo scenes tomorrow?"

Wow that was a suggestion, I was so suprised that I chocked on my own spit, but Cate came up to me, comforting me stroking my back,  making sure I was alright.

" Hey honey, are you fine? "

" Cate it's really nice but you're not really helping with ur pet names. "

Both Cate and Todd burst out in laughter on my statement, and I just weekly smiled at my joke.

"But no seriously I can do that... with pleasure"

I whispered the last part in Cate's ear only for her to hear it and she was completely shocked. She just stood there, looked me dead in the eyes, which said something like 'I swear that wasn’t necessary' but I think it was.

After we did a little smalltalk, the three of us parted but Cate came up to me and whispered,

"That was mean you know that?"

"No it wasn't."

I stated with a smile on my face and an ironic undertone.

"What are you two up again huh?"

Sarah came over, she always needed to know what happened on the set which was funny, whenever you had to know something, just ask Sarah she knows EVERYTHING.

" Oh nothing, Todd and I just asked Rooney if she wanted to do the waterloo scenes tomorrow since it's her birthday."

"And, Rooney, what did you say?"

"I said yes."

I giggled at Sarah's questioning and I just couldn't stop smiling.

"Uuuhhhh someone's getting fucked tomorrow."

"Hahaha shut up Paulson we're only pretending."

That came from me.

"But ur gonna be naked tho."

Sarah went off with a wink at me and Cate.
We just looked at each other and shook our heads. She was always joking around, but when it was serious she could also make hard decisions, which was admirable.

I looked at her as she walked away a few minutes, when Cate spoke up again, so I turned to her, listening what she wanted to say.

"Imma head to the hotel, it's getting late and I need to rest, big day tomorrow, isn't it? You should better go home too sweetheart."

"Yea I probably should"

She put her arms around me and pulled me in a hug. We stayed like this for a little longer than necessary, enjoying the warm, comforting embrace of the other.

"Goodnight Cate, sleep well."

"Well good night to you too."

"Nice try but I don't think I will sleep much."

We both laughed as we let go of each other.

The rest of the day wasn't really that exciting, apart from Cate being on my mind constantly. I watched a movie and suprisingly drove off to sleep, though the excitement was almost threatening me to stay up.
