Death is different than I imagined. I thought it would be a peaceful release from this world, and for some people it is. Not for me. It didn't hurt, but coming back in this form has left me to feel like a completely new person. I didn't have to breathe, but I had to eat. Everything in life is now in high definition to me.

My improved senses are my favorite part of the new lifestyle. Being able to smell the deer running through the crisp Alaskan snow half a mile away from our extravagant house was just the beginning.

The morning sun, that showed through the delicate curtains of the bedroom, glistened off of Jay's bare chest. I had gotten used to seeing this world in the high definition screening that I was granted. Feeling well rested, I stretched and rubbed my eyes. I felt Jay shift in bed and wrap his arm around me. I smiled down at him as he grinned in his sleep.

"Jay, are you awake?" I asked softly.

He shook his head and buried it into my stomach. "No." He replied and I chuckled. I hugged him gently and rubbed his warm back.

"You know it's almost 10. Should we get up?" I suggested.

"What for?" He asked without opening his eyes.

"I don't know. Maybe we could do something today. It has been months since I have gone back to Williston. I miss Lilly and Kyle." My old best friends had known about me moving in with Jay after the murder of both my parents but they only knew that one was murder. What they didn't know was what we had gone through since I last visited. As if Jay and I having sex and then fighting off his father wasn't enough, I had also died, and came back in the form I am in now. My old friends could not know this, however. It was now not only Jay's secret, but mine too.

"We could do that, yes." He nodded without moving. "Maybe you should call them first." He suggested.

I grabbed my cellphone off of the nightstand and disconnected it from the charger. I looked through my phone book and dialed Lilly's number.

Once the busy tone subsided, she answered. "Hello?"

"Hey Lilly! It's been a while." I said casually.

"Kayc' how have you been? I haven't heard from you in so long."

"I know. Totally my fault." I apologized.

"Don't sweat it! What's going on?"

"Well I am back in town for a few days and wanted to meet up! And I would love to introduce you to my friends from Alaska." I said. I knew Lilly and Alix would get along great. I assumed they hadn't met at school when we were all attending Williston High School.

"I would love to! Want to meet for lunch?" She asked.

"Actually I was thinking we could do something else. Maybe mini-golf?" I suggested. Jay sat up and gave me a strange look. I smiled and shrugged as he plopped his head back down on my stomach. I ran my fingers through his soft, dark hair as he got comfortable.

"Mini-golf! Sounds great! I will bring Kyle and Jen. I know they miss you like crazy. Not as much as I do of course!" She said and I smiled at her excited voice.

"I miss all of you guys so much." I said.

"Where are you staying? I can come meet you at your hotel!" She said. I forgot that hotels were probably necessary for us to stay in since we lived in Alaska. Normal people couldn't close their eyes and flash to places. I looked to Jay because I knew he was listening, and could help me come up with a response. He opened his eyes and mouthed words to me.

"Tell her we will just meet her at the golf place." The "golf place" we go to in town was called Barney's.

"Actually it would be easier to just meet you at Barney's because all of us will take Alix's car."
