I walked back to the table to sit with everyone and sat down, joining their conversation.

"So I'm basically expecting a 50 at the most on that test. I knew I should have studied." Lilly said. I caught the end of their conversation.

"Welcome back Kayc'. Is everything okay?" Kyle asked and I nodded.

"Yeah it was just Seth checking in. He told me work on the house is going well." I explained.

"That's good. How long are you staying?" Kyle asked and I shrugged.

"I'm not sure yet. Once I know I will tell you!" I said honestly. I wasn't sure how long it would take for things in the Underworld to get under control again, because I had no idea what was happening. Jay wouldn't tell me anything about what the issue was, or why he had to be the one to fix it.

We all reminisced as we are our meals. The night came to an end and I hugged Lilly and Trevor hugged me too, before I got in Kyle's car to head back to his apartment.

"Sorry about Trevor being there tonight. I know you're not very fond of him." Kyle apologized as he turned the key in the ignition and the car roared to life. I shrugged and put on my seat belt which was ironic because it wasn't like it would save me from death in the event of an accident.

"It's alright Kyle. He isn't my favorite person, but he was tolerable. Not counting the disgusting flirting with our waitress. He never gave up that personality trait I see."

"No, he hasn't changed at all since you left. " Kyle responded. We drove back to his apartment and he parked the car. We climbed up the stairs and entered his apartment. I sat back down on the couch and checked my phone, but there was no message that I wanted to see. "You alright Kayce? You seem upset." Kyle noticed as he sat down next to me and turned on the TV.

"I'm okay. I just haven't heard from Jay in a while. I'm kind of worried." I told him as I fiddled with the case on my phone, as if playing with it would make it so Jay would contact me.

"I'm sure Prince Charming is fine." Kyle said. I rolled my eyes.

"Do you not like Jay? You're always calling him Prince Charming like he's done something to upset you." I asked and Kyle just shook his head.

"No it's not that at all. He's just, kind of strange. He doesn't talk much, and you guys only knew each other for a few months before you took off to Alaska with him. I feel like this new guy just rolled into town and took my best friend away. Not to mention that he is obviously attractive, so all of the girls at WHS want him, not that I have anything to be jealous over."

"Kyle it's not like that. He does talk, just not around new people. Like we were saying at the golf course, he's just a really shy person, but he is a good guy, I swear."

"I'm sure that he is, I just don't know him" Kyle said and he was right. Jay was this random guy who swept me off my feet and didn't put me down until we were in Alaska, away from the only life I knew.

"I think you just need to get to know him. I hope you will soon."

"If you like him Kayc' it's enough for me to like him too." Kyle said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said.

"And thank you for coming to dinner tonight. I know everyone was happy to see you." He said and I smiled and nodded.

"I'm glad I came too. I had a nice time."

"Good! I'm going to get to sleep now. I will see you in the morning!" He said as he got up and walked to his room. I looked at my phone for a few disappointing minutes before draping the blanket over my body and falling asleep.

The next day I woke up and Kyle had gone to school. I watched movies once again and then I decided to go for a walk around my old town. I wondered what my old house looked like, if anyone lived there.

I flashed to the park by my previous address and began walking up the street towards the house. The streets all looked the same. Suburbia didn't change very frequently. I reached my old house and saw that the "For Sale" sign was no longer in the front yard. Someone had moved into the house. I smiled as I saw a family in the kitchen. It looked like a mother and her child reading a book at their table. I smiled at the memory of my mom doing the same with me, in the same home. My smile disappeared quickly once I remembered how Jay's father quickly ended my mother's life. Filled with rage from that night, I kept walking.

I felt myself heating up with anger towards Jay's father. How he continuously tried to imprison his son by killing me, and in the process he ended up murdering both of my parents and the innocent girl that lived down the street from me. I looked in their windows as I passed Lindsey Foster's family's home. Her house was empty, probably because it was only noon. Her house had a depressing feel to it as I passed by on the sidewalk. It was expected to have this feel because it was missing a family member. Once again, the fault of Jay's father. I got angry once again, so I continued to walk.

I arrived back at Kyle's apartment around 5pm. I spent the day walking around town and filling my head with memories of my past. Kyle was making himself dinner when I arrived.

"Hey Kayc'. Where have you been?" He asked.

"I was just walking around town. I stopped and grabbed dinner at Pizza Palace." I loved that pizza place.

"Oh alright. I was just making pasta. You can have some later if you get hungry." He said and I smiled at his offer.

We decided to watch movies and stay in for the night.

"How do you like it?" Kyle randomly asked around 9pm, in the middle of our movie.

"Like what?" I asked confused by the question.

"Like being back home." Kyle said. I sighed because he really was stuck on the thought of this town still being my home.

"I love visiting. It feels like how it used to, when my parents were around, and so was I." I said.

"Yeah. I like having you around too."

"Good! I miss it here. It feels, normal-"I stopped talking because the room before me blurred out. I couldn't see Kyle anymore but the rainbow of colors before me were much more vivid. I knew I was having a vision, but what the vision was I couldn't determine yet. I also have yet to figure out how to control when I get visions, if I can control them that is.
