"Good day." A woman dressed in a dark grey dress and black apron greeted us. "How may I help you?"

"We are just here to see Jay. We know the way. Thanks Martha!" Alix said as she grabbed my hand and we ran up the stairs. I counted 5 flights of spiral stairs until we reached the King's Den. We knocked and Jay opened the door.

"Kayce? Alix, Seth, what are you guys doing here?" He asked as he quickly hugged me. I relaxed as his strong body engulfed me, filling me with a familiar and missed feeling of comfort. I hugged him tightly and burried my face into his chest.

"Kayce had a vision and knows where your father is." Seth said as they shut the door behind us.

"What?" He asked letting me go. "Kayce, is this true?" He asked and I nodded. He lead me to a small bench placed at the end of the extravagant bed.

"Yes. I think he was dead. But I couldn't see who did it or where he was. I wish you could see it, maybe you would know." I said looking down, letting my hair fall in my face.

"I can. Give me your hands and remember your vision."

"Jay, I don't know how to make it come back! I've only been living like this for a few months and I haven't had much training." I said feeling helpless. He kneeled in front of me and stroked my face before gently kissing me.

"Kayce, you can. You have more power than you realize." He took both my hands in his. "Concentrate. Make the vision come back so I can read and see what is going on in your mind." I tried I thought really hard. Just the memory of the vision came back, and I was already starting to forget the details.

"Jay, I can't. I don't know how to control when they come. I can't do it." I said sadly. Alix rubbed my back.

"Kayc' it's okay. Just concentrate really hard on seeing the future. Remember where you were when you had the vision. Try to make it come back. You can do it." She said and I gripped Jays hands and closed my eyes.

Kyle's living room, Jay's father, lifeless in the chair, tied down. The rainbow flooded in my head and I squeezed Jay's hands as the vision came exactly as it was the first time. Nothing different, which means we hadn't made progress on stopping it yet. I squeezed my eyes and then opened them to see Jay, Seth, and Alix staring at me.

"I did it." I said smiling. "Did you see it? I did it! I made it come back!" I said happily and Jay hugged me tightly.

"See. You have control over your power. And I saw it. I think I know where he is. But yes, it is strange how we couldn't see who was doing that to him. But we will figure it out. Do you know when the vision took place?" He asked me. I widened my eyes. Should I have seen a date at the bottom edge of the vision like a digital picture?

"I'm sorry Jay, I have no idea." I said and he stroked my face.

"It's okay. You have done so much already. Thank you Kayce." He said and I smiled as he leaned in and kissed me again. "Okay guys, I think we should get to bed and start the search in the morning so that I have time to alert the crews that I will be absent." He said and we nodded.

"Okay. Should we head back home?" I asked sadly thinking about spending another night without Jay.

"No. We should all stay here so we can leave soon. Exactly eight hours we leave." He said walking to the door and pressing a button that looked like an internal doorbell. Martha entered the room shortly after. "Martha, please show Alix and Seth to a guest room. We will be staying here and leaving in approximately eight hours to find my father. Please alert the staff that in my absence, Thomas will be in charge. We won't be gone long."
