"Game for seven please." Lilly said to the attendant at Barney's. He was a middle-aged man who looked like his collared Barney's tee shirt squeezed him in uncomfortable ways. He handed her a small piece of paper with a pencil and told us to grab our clubs and balls around the corner.

"Dibs on the red ball!" Alix shouted as we rounded the corner of the small wooden building. On a shelf laid our identical clubs and a color spectrum of balls. Alix grabbed her ball and I reached to grab a purple one for myself.

"What color do you want?" I asked Jay who looked moderately confused. "We all pick different colored balls because all of the balls are on one course at the same time. So, to keep track of which ball is yours, you pick a color." I explained.

"I'll have the blue one." He said. Jay mostly kept to himself around people he wasn't well acquainted with. He was good at keeping conversations going, but not at starting them. I thought it was kind of cute that he was so shy.

We grabbed our clubs and balls and made our way to the first hole. Alix went first, eager to play. The girls all went and then the guys went, following the polite "ladies first" code. Ironically, Alix made a hole-in-one. Followed by six more one shot wonders in the 18 holes we played. We all sat at a wooden table under a red and white striped umbrella and tallied our scores. I did alright for scoring, I got a 49, but Alix was by far the winner with a 38.

"Yes! I won!" Alix shouted and Seth laughed and hugged her.

"Geez Babe, you've been holding out on us. You are really good at mini-golf" Seth complimented. Alix always got so competitive and her drive to win usually lead her to success.

"What can I say? I'm good at what I do" She joked and Seth sweetly kissed her cheek. I smiled at how in love they still were. Even after all the years of being together, they still loved each other so much. I wanted Jay and I to be like that a hundred years from now, still as in love as ever.

Jay hugged me to his side. I looked up and him and saw him smirking and looking at me. I knew that he had been listening to my thoughts. I smiled up at him and he kissed my nose.

"So, how's the relationship going?" Lilly asked interrupting our moment. I looked at her and sipped the drink I had bought next to me.

"Really well. I'm glad I found Jay." I said and he smiled and hugged me closer to him.

"Aw, Kayce is in love." Jen teased. I looked down and laughed.

"Yeah, I am." I admitted, and Jay hung his head as if he had done something wrong by making me fall for him. "But I love it." I added.

"Jay you don't talk much." Kyle said and Jay looked up quickly and alarmed. He shrugged.

"I'm sorry. I'm not meaning to be rude or anything like that." He apologized.

"Oh no you're not! Kyle is just used to his other, obnoxious, friends. You're a gentleman Jay, no worries." Lilly reassured and Jay smiled, and I saw Kyle roll his eyes.

"He isn't usually this quiet. He's just shy sometimes, huh Jay?" I said pinching his cheek and he shooed me off his face.

"I am not." He defended.

"Oh yes you are." Alix jumped in. "But it's okay. Not everyone can be as flamboyant as me." She said flipping her hair.

"You got that right." Jay sarcastically remarked and we all laughed.

"How long are you guys in town?" Jen asked.

"Not sure. Whenever Kayce decides she wants to leave." Jay said.

"What does your place look like in Alaska?" Lilly asked.

"We live in a really nice house actually." Seth answered.

"A house? How do you afford it?" Kyle asked. This was a question I was also curious about, I was just never going to question the ones who took me in.

"Well we all have very high paying jobs in the business industry. Plus Jay's father is very wealthy and he takes care of a lot of our utilities." Seth explained. I knew those were lies. At least I thought they were. Jay's father was king of the Underworld, how is he wealthy on Earth? However, everyone else did get paid very well at their jobs. Seth was a CEO of a water filtration company and Alix was his VP. Even though Alix sometimes passed as a young adult or teen, Seth usually went by the age of 24. Jay and I however usually just stayed home during the day. Or traveled somewhere in the world and found new fun activities daily.

"Oh sweet!" Kyle said respectively.

"Yeah! You guys will have to come out and stay with us sometime." Alix said and I smiled. I would love having my friends in Alaska with us.

"OMG yes!" Lilly shouted and I smiled at her choice of words. "Kayce we would have so much fun. You could show me where to shop and what you guys do all day! That reminds me, have you graduated yet? Or are you in school?" She asked. I shook my head.

"No, I'm not in school at the moment, but maybe I will go back." I said, but it was unlikely. Besides, now that I was immortal, I could go and get a degree whenever I wanted. This thought hadn't really crossed my mind. It was like I was getting a chance to redo my high school life. I could get good grades and get into college and then I could become whatever I want. Jay squeezed my hand as if telling me to stop over thinking. I mentally sighed and apologized.

"Eh, school is overrated." Kyle said.

"Very true. But I do think everyone should at least finish high school." Seth said and we all agreed.

After we finished our drinks and talking, we decided to part ways.

"I want to see you again before you leave okay?" Kyle said hugging me and I agreed.

"Don't be a stranger!" Lilly said. I quickly hugged Jenny and we all piled into Alix's car and drove. We drove to an abandoned parking lot and after scanning the surroundings for people that may be watching, I felt the wind, and we were back in Alaska.
