An explosion occurs as the ground that I've stepping on rumbles after that. Debris started to fall from the floor up above. I don't know how everything end up like this. The last thing I know is this people really dared to kill him. And I don't think that is a good thing to do.
I was barely holding myself up. My knees were shaking badly that it's hard for me to stand still. I keep on playing my nails, trying to calm myself down. I was catching my breath like this place have lack in oxygen, it's hard to breath. Especially when you are surrounded with people who have guns in their hands, ready to shoot if someone make a move.
I prepared myself to take a deep breath but before I could do that gun shots have started again. The sound of shooting echoes around the basement. Afraid of getting shot, I goes down on my knees, covering my ears with my bare hands. I close my eyes intently hearing the little sound of gun shots, praying for my dear life.
I gasped in shock when someone harshly grab me from the ground, making me stand up with my knees shaking in fear. Before I could say anything or even shout, I felt rough hand was circling my neck making me lean back to the person as his grip tightens finding it more hard for me to breath.
I saw Xeus stopped a few steps away in front of me holding his gun up. He was looking not to me, but to the person behind my back. I gulped when I felt something hard touches my head. Xeus look at me for a moment. I saw a glint of worry in his eyes. That lasts for a split of seconds before he look at the person who was holding me as hostage with his deadly stare. My chain creates clanging sounds as it drops on the ground. I couldn't hold them anymore, my strength were slowly leaving my body.
"I thought you were braver enough to face me."
Xeus said without even changing the way how he talk to him. His voice were like ice, very sharp and cold at the same time. It rumbles around the space and the debris keeps falling like they fear how he speak.
I look up after I heard the person behind me chuckled. He pulled me closer to him making me lean my body into his. I saw a sudden change in Xeus face but just like before it only last in a split of seconds that this people could hardly notice. I tried to not whimper when I felt my head hurt because of the way how this guy point that gun on my head. I'm so close. So close to death.
My eyes widen as his cold fingers trailed the side of my face. His breath were heavy, it disgust me feeling it on my bare skin. But what more disgust me is when I felt something wet slide beside my neck. His tongue was licking my skin, wetting me with his saliva. I've lost it. I've lost everything.
Tears started to stream down my cheeks. My voice have faded, my cries are no longer to be heard. I bit my lower lip trying not to let out a soft cry when Xeus eyes met mine. Those eyes, it's terrifying. More terrifying than the first time I have met him.
Before I could blink my tears off and compose myself, I heard a gun shot. Warm fluid sprits at the side of my face as the head beside me and the disgusting tongue that was licking me started to leave my neck. After a few seconds, I heard a thud behind me. I was too slow to process what just happened.
Before anyone could take another firing, I felt someone's hand covers around my shoulder, securing me from the shots.
"Lord D'vourne!"
I heard one of his men calls as the surrounded the other party. They are pointing gun to each other. It feels like I'm in the middle of the greatest trap. I'm in the middle of life and death. I can't make myself move, like my feet have already stuck on the ground. I've never been in this situation before. But it scares me like hell now I'm experiencing it. It's much more worse than having backlashes from the pet shop owner.
