Liah Arxien

My heart is sinking, remembering how Lucan looked at me a while ago. Those eyes that held his surprise and gladliness at the same time. The urge of running to me, feel my presence. He must have been glad yet he knows his place. That one wrong move from him could cause rampage from both me and my master.

It's not impossible for Lucan to have meet my Master. He's one of the most famous author in the whole state. But how is Xeus even interested in him? And even invited him for his Mother's party that will be held a few days later? Are they friends? Does Xeus already know something about me? Did Aleck spilled my identity? Is he investigating me?

"Nothing! I was just checking my speed. I haven't run for a long time."

I said, trying to say something that doesn't involves Lucan. I looked at him when I haven't heard anything from him after a few seconds had already passed. He looked at me trying to figure out if I was telling the truth. After a while, the whole garden was filled with his laughter.

My brows narrowed watching him laughing amusingly. He was laughing hard that after a few moments his hands were already touching his knees. Did I say something wrong?

"My, My Liah! I have not known you're good at making jokes until now."

But I was telling the truth. Except the reason why I really ran away. It's been too long since I last ran. That was before the pet shop caught me and cage me. Removing my freedom away from myself.

I just watch him until he slowly calmed down. He then arrange himself and smiled at me. The first smile that I have witnessed so far. The way how his teeth shows and how his lips lifted. His eyes smiled too, beautifully. He's just so much different than the person I used to see.

"Forgive me Master, but it's my first time hearing you laugh like that."

His smile faded too quick hearing my compliment. I looked down, ashamed of the words that left my mouth. I gulped secretly, feeling his stares on my small figure.

"And that is bad?"

"No! No! It... It actually suits you!"

I said, whispering the last sentence. I don't know if he'll like what I just said and I'm afraid that he have heard me. Knowing that he's serious type of person, I'll have to face my end soon.

My gaze were shifted when I saw his feet already stopped right in front of me. My eyes meet his face, lighted with sun rays. He was looking down at me with a smile. A smile that is so warmth and so soft. Those brown orbs were absorbing mine, slowly melting me from where I am standing.

I can hear his heavy breathing, cause from laughing too loud. My eyes slowly watch his hand as he slip it out his pocket. Slowly reaching to me, and stopped right in front of my lower chest. My brows furrowed as I look back at him confusingly.
