I suddenly stop moving because of his sudden question. It took me a few seconds before I shift on the couch and took a glance of him.

Why did he ask me that? What does it have to do with me?

"Is that person somehow important?"

I asked, secretly composing myself. I tried my best to act normal, to make him not suspicious of me. If I remembered correctly, I didn't mentioned my last name to anyone except my Lord. But I guess he have forgotten it already.

Aleck on the other side, I don't know how he figured out about me. And that guy have something to blackmail me. I just hope that everyone won't bother knowing where I really came from or who I really am. I'm in a really big trouble if I might get discovered.

"No, I don't think so. In fact, I just heard of that name a while ago."

My brows raised at what he have said. Where have he heard about it? And who is that person? Aleck?

"Where?"

"Ah, from the person whom Lord Hazel was talking to. I just accidentally heard it from him on my way up here. And the Lord looked so angry talking about it."

Hazel? He mean Aleck. Should I get worried?

Who is that person he was talking with that he was very angry about hearing my last name came from someone's mouth? I mean, who is that person that he dared mention the last name of the former Lord to the second Lord?

What was Aleck planning? Is there a war between the Lord's position too? The empery around here is complicated. Well, nothing stays peaceful.

"So I was thinking that there must be something special to anger the 2nd Lord just like that. I've never seen Lord Hazel that angry and serious before."

Yeah, Jarred have a point. And it confuses me. Is it me? Or there was someone out there who have the same last name as mine? And if there's someone else, except my so-called Father, Aleck seems to take things seriously with that person?

Is there any other people related to me that holds that last name?

"What you said have a point."

I said agreeing to him. The side of his lips curved as he look at me proudly.

"Of course! I'm good at observing people."

Look who's talking? I just shake my head before opening the book again. He just observe my actions while I read the first page. I just ignore his stare.

I heard his couch shift as he look up to the ceiling. Like he was thinking of something more important. I don't want to bother him. And besides, I'm reading my book and I don't have anything much to talk about to him.

I'm no longer that Liah who brags about her luxurious life. Now, silence have become my peace, my friend, my sanctuary. That running away from home made a huge change to myself that made me appreciate darkness and silence more than loudness and power.

"Liah don't you feel hungry? It's already seven."

I stop from reading when he broke the long silenced that already surrounds the whole room. I've already reach chapter 5 of Lucan's book and got too tense that I haven't noticed the passing time.

Just like what he have mentioned, the clock was stating it's already 7 in the evening and I don't know how long since my Master have left. Maybe Xeus left about five or four. I haven't taken note of the time.

"No! I'll wait for my Master to return."

I said before shifting my attention back into the book again. I started to where I've stopped a while ago. This story interests me because it felt familiar to me. Like I have known what have been written inside though it's my first time reading it.
