"It's ok! I end up on a pet shop anyway because I have none."

I tried to hide the bitterness on my face and just gave him a weak smile before walking. I heard him heave a sigh which made me stop and wait for him to walk first. I am not in the position to lead the way. I'm always a step behind him.

"What exactly happened? Why did you end up in the pet shop?"

His questions were like thorns piercing through my chest. I have long abandoned that question and I never dare to answer. He knows too well what happened to his people who have offended the law. Rogue or death. There's only  two ways to face their wrath.

Asking me like that feels like skinning me alive again. Yet, in his hands - I found no escape. It will either be hell or heaven. But most of the time, there's always a sea of fire in those eyes.

"Rogue!"

That's the only word that I can utter. It took a lot of courage to speak in such, yet I've obliged. I stop when he turned into a halt. I lifted my head and watch his broad shoulders facing me along with his back.

"Did you chose already?"

My brows furrowed. This time he have turned more serious. He only look at me from the side of his face. He turned to face me again when I didn't said anything. I was totally puzzled by what he mean with that?

"I left a magazine to Akus a day ago to let you choose what to wear for the upcoming party."

He said plainly. He looked at Fyxis, dismissing him which made the young man turned to his heels and walk out of our sight without a word. Not even lowering his head to honour his lord.

I shrink on my stand - feeling his intense gaze on my small figure. My fingers intertwined in front of me as I tried to breath normally, calming my nerves down. I felt like I have done something outrageous to get nervous like this.

"I-"

I was lost with words to tell him what exactly I wanted. But his stares were inching me, leaving me with no choice to reject his offer. I am too scared to dare meet his eyes, to say no. If I continue being a coward, I'll end up tainting his family with shame which will also lead me into nothing but the abyss of another torture.

"Forgive me Master!"

With that I lowered my head. Too low - ready to be swallowed by the ground as I wait for his beaming reaction. Based on my tone and the way I address him, he should have understood it already.

"What?"

His voice was plain, reviving death from its deep slumber. My body shook, unable to move. I have done it! Offending thy Lord. How dare I? Reject this Lord while others are willing to throw themselves into his arms. And no one have said "NO!" to the Lord D'vourne.

Gulping, I fold my shoulder to hug myself. I watch his steps find it's way in front of me. It's tapping sound on the floor didn't gave me a second to breath evenly. The thumping of my heart is not helping my mind either.

As soon as he stopped in front of me, my knees already reach the floor. I saw him took a step backwards as my head was slowly lowered to the ground. But before it could reach the soft mat laid there, my forehead was stopped with a hand. I stayed still, not wanting to lift my head and meet those eyes.
