▄︻̷̿┻̿═━一Liah Arxien
I opened my eyes when I felt something that was stroking the strands of my hair and brushing them behind my ear. My eyelids felt heavy, still feeling sleepy but I tried to open my eyes. The first thing I saw was the ceiling and the tall shelves. My fingers trailed on the cover of the book that was placed on my chest.
I turn to my side when I felt someone touched my hair again. My eyes widen as I realize who it was. Xeus eyes were mesmerizing his gestures before he slowly looked at me. Still brushing the soft strands of my hair. I lean my hands on the couch, pushing myself to sit, stopping him.
How long did I fell asleep? My eyes roam around the area. The lights are on while the curtains that are tied to the side of the windows were now covering the plain glass, dimming the inside. I look up to the clock hanged on the wall. The time was telling me it's already 8 in the evening.
"Liah-"
Xeus called bringing my eyes back to him. He was on the floor next to the couch. His knee was on the carpet while the other foot was supporting him. His eyes were looking straight in mine as he was looking up to meet my face.
"I'm sorry, I haven't noticed the time."
I apologized before putting my feet down on the brown carpet that holds the couch. I look back at him when I felt his heated gaze, watching my every move. His eyes were looking intently at me with the emotion I could barely understand. The only thing I conclude was that he is no longer angry with me.
His brown orbs were staring deep in my eyes, searching for something. Searching for my soul. It awakens the sleeping butterflies in my stomach making it harder for me to breath normally. Those eyes were melting me softly. I'm glad that I am sitting down because if not I may have fell on the floor already due to my shaking knees.
"Xeus, I'm sorry!"
I apologize in act of bravery. His silence was scaring me. Though I'm already used to it, sometimes it just feels like the first time. He smiled at me before he stand up from the floor. I slowly move to the end of the couch as he sat down beside me. I brought the book that I was reading a while ago and pulled it closer to my chest, hugging it.
"I thought you've ran away. I can't find you in my room."
His words made me remember what have happened this morning. Our argument about the party and including me in that luxurious event. I only bit my lower lip before slowly looking at him. His eyes were looking ahead, in the mid air.
His brows were telling me that he was trying to think of something. His demeanor were confusing me. I can't clearly tell if he was still mad about the choices I've made for myself and for his own sake.
