Ch 28 Before The Fall

You were laying right besides Nathaniel who was in his own bed in the infirmary after the match. Fortunately you did in fact was able to get a new tooth that same day. Unfortunately you were stuck here for a while longer as they wanted to be sure you two were okay.

Nathaniel: Won't your team fight in the one versus one?

Y/N: Yup.

Nathaniel: And we can't change the channel so we're stuck watching-

Y/N: Yup, we're stuck watching Soap Operas. Though Ruby will record the match.

Nathaniel: Crap. Do you think Roberto will die?

Y/N: Don't you dare talk about Roberto like that. He will live and finally be able to tell his love Bianca how he feels.

Nathaniel: Can't believe we're stuck here watching the same channel.

Y/N: Yup.

Nathaniel: You think your teammate, Yang, will do fine against Mercury?

Y/N: Yeah. I'm sure she will do fine. What's the worse that could happen?

Nathaniel: Technically kill.

Y/N: Huh. (looks at television) Oh god!

Nathaniel: What?

Y/N: Roberto had a long lost twin brother! He was posing as Roberto all this time with the real Roberto just arriving!

Nathaniel: No. No. You're lying.

Y/N: Look at the television then. Apparently his twin brother tried to kill him because he was jealous of his life.

Nathaniel: We've been watching this for too long.

Y/N: Yup. It's this or staring at the wall.

Nathaniel: Well when you put it like that screw it and pass the popcorn.

After a few hours Ruby arrives with a bag of food, but seeing that you were sniffling while wiping your eyes Ruby drops the bag of food and rushes over.

Ruby: What's happening? Are you hurt?! Do I need to call the nurse? Please don't be hurt.

Wiping your eyes you spoke up.

Y/N: Roberto died just as he made up with up with his long lost twin brother.

Ruby: Roberto? Who's Roberto?

Y/N: A character. Was that my food?

Ruby: Uhhhh no. I'll be back.

Walking backwards you see how she kicks the bag to the door only to pick it up as she and it was close to the door.

Y/N: Yup. Nothing suspicious about that. Well Nathaniel is asleep so nothing to do.

Arriving back an hour later Ruby returned to you staring at a wall.

Ruby: Y/N?

Y/N: Frubes.

Ruby: What are you doing?

Y/N: Well the show is over so I'm doing some thinking.

Grabbing a chair Ruby sits next to the bed.

Ruby: What are you thinking?

Y/N: Nothing much. Got to write a letter to my mother. Can't postpone that any longer even if I want to.
