Ch 31 The Search Continues

Waking up you tried feeling next to you only for you to feel the hard ground. You sigh as you remembered yesterday's events.

Y/N: Well I guess I need to keep on going.

Getting up you walk. Your goal being to find some people to see if they knew the address
on the letter with the next finding yourself a ride to go there. You just kept walking only stopping to eat and so on.

Y/N: Look I'm just saying what the hell was Nathaniel expecting. Like sure I'm alive but how does he expects me to arrive to Patch? I should call him Nate. Nathaniel is too long. Saw it from a cartoon book but his name was just Nate. What do you think?

Little Helper simply stares up at you with its turret before moving forward.

Y/N: Yup. I don't get why I'm talking if you can't even say anything. Just wanted to vent out my predicament right now.

The robot simply looks at you awaiting for you to input a command.

Y/N: How come you respond better to Ruby. I created you for god's sake. She mainly made the weapons and named you.

Little Helper on hearing that name lowers its turret almost like it was in sadness.

Y/N: I miss her too. Times like these a small part of me wonders what would Ruby do. But then again Ruby would probably say to mail myself there. Then again even if it isn't sound that is one of the reasons why I love her. The way how she can be.

Little Helper simply looks up at you. Putting your hand to pat it. You have seen Ruby talk to it before. Even if you may look crazy in the process you have to admit that it did help you at the moment. Especially given that this was no ordinary one but rather one you and Ruby built. Ruby did say she put a small part of her into Little Helper.

Y/N: Yeah. Well, the search continues. At the very least we haven't seen much Grimm at all. Though I think because they're all heading at the tower. Wonder why the Wyvern is frozen but thank god they're rare. Only seen them in stories until now. Wait... You think Ruby may be responsible for it being frozen?

Little Helper in response nods its turret up and down.

Y/N: Hmmm... I definitely will need to ask I about that. Though at this point I wouldn't be surprise to find out. Ruby, she somehow finds some way to do these sorts of oddities. I mean Ruby made friends with an android, crashes a train, and that one food fight. That's only part of it. Though I still question on occasion how she can hold her Crescent Rose. Seeing Ruby holding it for the first time one thought came to mind. How could someone that small carry something that large. Well I think it's time to put you away.

Putting Little Helper away you continued the search. On your walk you stop upon seeing a bullet casing on the ground. Picking the case up you look around to see that there must of been a fight recently.

Y/N: Hmmmm. Well they are certainly gone by now but looking at the scorch marks at the ground it makes me wonder. At the very least whoever fought did not seem to have sustain any injury or deaths seeing the lack of blood.

Flicking the bullet case you kept on walking with a new vigor. Even if it may not be from your team at the very least there could be a possibility that there may be people nearby. And if it is from a larger group you can catch up as they trade speed for safety in numbers.

Leaving the scene after some time the faint sound of gunfire is heard off in the distance behind the not so faint sound of people that
are screaming for their lives.

Y/N: Well Little Helper guess it's your time to shine.

Taking out Little Helper and activating it you rush towards the sounds of people screaming. Arriving you saw that people were running in a frenzy with others staying back, fighting off the Grimm.
