Another day of slow, uneventful traveling and it was now night. With camp set up you found yourself sitting around a fire. Looking around though you see that one member was missing, Nathaniel.

Y/N: Where's Nate?

Nora: Catching some z's. He said something about being too tired from yesterday's sentry duty.

Y/N: Jaune, what's our progress?

Jaune: I think we're doing good. Though honestly I think we need to take a bit of a break.

Ruby: What? Why?

Jaune: Well we have been moving every day.

Pyrrha: I agree as well. That and our supply situation is good so we do not have to worry about one day being wasted.

Ren: We can even use it for something useful. Like sparring.

Ruby: It sounds like you all talked about it without even telling us.

Jaune: Well, the thing is that's because we were just talking about it while setting camp.

Y/N: Sounds good to me. Rubaline?

Looking over to Ruby you see as she breathes out and let's out an exasperated sigh but she realizes that everyone needs rest. Maybe even herself as well.

Ruby: Fine, I guess we can all use a break. I need to inspect Crescent Rose anyways and make sure she's in top shape.

With that a few minutes later headed for into their sleeping bags for the night. Though you and Ruby remained for the first shift. As you return back to Ruby with Glory Daze in hand you notice her change in posture. As she was sitting down she was holding her knees up to her chest. Sitting down you spoke.

Y/N: What are you thinking?

Ruby: You know the usual. Thinking about dad, Yang, Zwei, and our teammates. You?

Y/N: I miss having a steady supply of toilet paper and plumbing.

Ruby: Really?!

Y/N: I can deal with this but that does not mean I like it. Do you?

Ruby: No.

Y/N: That is the thing. People never really think about the small things you miss when doing this. Just the simple pleasures.

Ruby: Hmmm.

Ruby suddenly laughs, startling you.

Y/N: What?

Ruby: Well I was thinking on what you said and I remembered how Jaune accidentally used poison ivy as toilet paper.

Y/N: Beacon should of really put an effort on teaching survival. I think I will write that as a recommendation to Glynda.

Ruby: Why?

Y/N: Well it's not like I can write it to Ozpin. Glynda would be the most obvious who will replace him.

Ruby: I don't think Glynda will like the idea of you sending a letter about that.

Y/N: Why not?

Ruby: Well she has a lot of things to worry about. That and we all just kinda left.

Y/N: I'm sure students left as well.

Ruby: To their parents after all that.

Y/N: Cannot blame them. Though the ones who did stay would be better for it. As much as it sucked it separated the sheep from the wolves. If you can survive that then you can just about be a Huntsman.
