Ch 39 Reality Check

Ruby shot up in the air, opening her eyes as
she woke up from a bad dream. Hearing two voices. One of Cinder Fall right as she asked Pyrrha if she believed in destiny and another of you or rather the grunt of pain as you got hit by an arrow right before tumbling off the tower. Before everything turned white as her latent powers activated thinking you died.

She quickly turns to you seeing you still next
to her asleep.

Ruby: It's just a dream Ruby. Just a dream. Y/N is fine. Pyrrha is fine. It's okay.

Laying back down to the sleeping bag she put her arm over you to hug you before returning back to sleep before the day officially begins.

All five of the members of RJNPR+Y/N and Nathaniel was walking. Ruby in the front as she had the map.

Ruby: So the next town is... uh-huh... uh-huh... We're lost.

Jaune: We're not lost. The next town is Shion. My family used to visit it all the time.

Ruby: Oh yeah. Don't you have, like, four sisters?

Pyrrha: Jaune has seven in total actually.

Jaune: Yeahhh... Seven.

While Ruby giggles Nathaniel said something to you out of Jaune's earshot.

Nathaniel: That's the sound of a defeated man.

Nora: You know, that actually explains a lot.

Jaune: Wait, what do you mean? Y/N, you'll tell me the honest truth right?

Y/N: Jaune, look no further now than your girlfriend. I'm sure Pyrrha has something in mind. After all who would know better than your partner for the good and the bad?

Jaune: Pyrrha, does it really explain how I am?

Pyrrha: Was, was.

Jaune: So Nora was right. Tell me one time.

Pyrrha's mind immediately went to the time of the initiation. With a heavy heart she told him an example.

Pyrrha: Remember the initiation?

Jaune: Yeah.

Pyrrha: Remember the cave and the Death Stalker? Well, your screams were not exactly manly. Actually quite the opposite.

Jaune: Really?

Pyrrha: Yes, but you've grown a lot from the Jaune who didn't know what an aura was.

Juane: You knew?!

Pyrrha: I went along so you wouldn't have thought that I thought less of you.

Nora: We all knew the moment you asked Ozpin if we would get parachutes.

Ruby: So, what did you guys do there?

Jaune: Oh, all sorts of stuff! (points at map) Over here is a great hiking trail, and ooh over here is where we went camping all the time. I got my own tent because I was special. Also, so my sisters would stop braiding my hair.

Ruby: Didn't like the look?

Jaune: Yeah, they just kept on doing pigtails, but personally, I think I would be more of the "warrior's wolftail" kind of guy.

Ruby: That's just a ponytail.

Jaune: I stand by what I said.

Nora stops short, raising her hands to her lips as her eyes widen. Soon after, both Ren and Pyrrha stops, visibly tense. You and Nathaniel both grabbed out your weapons, raising them and move on ahead as you did not knew if the threat or threats remained.
