"... And that's why our Councillors ended their treaty with the humans. Make sure to keep your notes because you will have a test on it next week." My teacher finished her lecture seconds before the bell rang, announcing the end of the school day.
FINALLY! I thought
I exited the classroom and found my brother waiting for me at the Leapmaster.
When we got to Everglen, we found Dex, Tam, Linh and Wylie waiting for us.
" Hi guys! I wasn't aware that Fitz hailed you guys to all play Base Quest. And Why isn't Sophie here with you?" I asked, REALLY confused
" Fitz didn't invite us over, we found some footage of Keefe in the Forbidden Cities. Sophie isn't here because we thought that we should tell you before we show Sophie." Dex answered.
Before I could say anything, Dex pulled a little square thing out of his pocket. He entered a code and a hologram of a place called San Diego popped up. Dex pressed play and the video started playing. Everything in the video was normal until Dex pressed pause and zoomed in on a boy wearing a black hoodie pulled tight around his face. Underneath the hoodie, you could sorta see a Batman shirt.
If I looked hard enough, I could see a very familiar face. The face of the boy I used to like. The face of the boy that blamed himself. The face of Keefe.
" So I thought that the boy looks like Keefe, but I wanted to ask Fitz before I told Sophie since he is Keefe's best friend." Dex said.
Before my brother could say anything, I blurted out, " That's Keefe. I would recognize that face anywhere."
Everyone turned to look at me and I started blushing furiously.
" Ok, thanks! I just needed to make sure." Dex said, saving me from saying anything embarrassing.
"Guys? Why don't we all tell Sophie tomorrow?" I asked
" Uhh... sure! I'll meet you guys at Havenfield at 10:00 tomorrow! But right now I gotta go because I'm supposed to be watching the triplets! Bye!" Dex said before pulling out his home crystal and leaping home.
One by one, our friends started saying their good byes and heading home.
I headed to my room and was thinking about how Sophie would take the news when mom called me for dinner.

I got into bed and kept tossing and turning until I thought how happy Sophie would be to see Keefe again. That was the one thought that pulled me into a dreamless oblivion.
The next day, I woke up early and got dressed into a beautiful teal dress and a dark blue cape. I quickly put my hair up into a french braid and ran downstairs to have breakfast.
After breakfast, I light leaped to Havvenfield and in a flash, I was there. After waiting for a while and chatting with my friends, Sophie finally ran outside with a plate of Mallowmelt that was probably her breakfast.
" There you are, Soph! We thought that you got eaten by Verdi!" I say, trying to break the tension.
Sophie started zoning out, and Fitz started waving his hand in front of her face.
After we got Sophie's attention again, Dex said: " We think we know where to find Keefe."
Way to break it gently, Dex I thought
Hi again! I wanna thank you guys for sticking with me in and I think that this is my longest chapter soooooo YAY! I promise that soon I will get to the romantic stuff and that they WILL find Keefe because he is one of my favorite characters! So sorry that I didn't update that much but it is because I am in school and I can only update when I'm on break. So as you guys probably know, I am going to San Francisco today so I will update on monday! Adios Amigos!
