Some fancy restaurant in Hokkaido, Japan- When I waited for a long time for someone, this isn't what I was expecting.

"Hello, I'm Namjoon Kim, I'm from Korea and it's nice to meet you." He nods, opening up his right hand for me to shake. I notice that he's sweating profusely and I just returned the favor. "Hello I'm F/N L/N. It's nice to you see you too."

He looks at me intently, often times I believe that he's uncomfortable and wants to crouch himself under the table or simply just get up and leave.

I wouldn't mind as that's what the other 11 soulmates I've paired up have thought.

Some have tried avoiding eye contact, some ordering healthy food for me, some even recommending me healthier stuff to do while insulting me at the same time. Some have been direct with degrading me and there's that one person who just saw me from the window and just left me without an explanation- they were a complete ghost.

And I know it boils all down to this- it's my body. It's because I'm too big and this is it. 

No one would bother to accept me for who I really am even though I try to be the best version of myself for them.

It simply isn't enough for these people.

Now you may be thinking 12 soulmates? How did you know that many? Also where did you get that number?

Well depending on how many lives you've had and how many people you've met in your previous lives, these soulmates follow pursuit or so our world government says.

I have 12, while other people may have less or even more. I heard on the newspaper of someone having 2350 soulmates around the world.

That's a lot of people to be forced to met but hey I guess that person gets free air travel.

And the reason of how we know this is because our world government is fed up of young people not wanting to procreate more humans and thus implemented this 'soulmate' operation.

Who knows if these people are truly the 'soulmates' we've met before, but I know that this scheme is make believe and in fact there were never such thing as a soulmate to begin with and if we're going conspiracy, than our world government is trying to use this to cover up their shady dealings and boost their moral credibility.

Even though I know it's all a sham, I still met the 11 other people I was paired up with, thus I happen to be here with Namjoon, my number 12.

He's the final one to meet and I expect him to be the type of person who isn't as forthcoming with himself or others.

Boy is this gonna be a 'great date'.

"So I-ahEm- am working on currently finishing my MBA here and eventually I'll be going back to do business back at home." He bites harshly upon his cut steak, while I take small bites of my food which was a few pasta lobster shells.

On a regular day I usually would order two for myself and on hangry days could eat up to four, however since he's here he'll probably judge me like everyone else.

"That's cool." I reply briefly and I swear he looks up at me frequently.
I don't know why he keeps lookin at me but if it's in disgust then why does he bother to keep up this act to be nice to me?
