Tori's POV:

After RM, visited me that night, I've longed for him to come back.

But it's been days and weeks, and I've heard no sign of him.

I just feel, betrayed in a way, because he promised to come back...

Who am I kidding? I didn't even go to him when I promised him.

But it kills me on the inside.

I've got to know what's going on.

This night, I made extra treats and snacks to bribe Ron and Margaret, as I said to my queen that "I'm trying to learn more about baking," when I'm trying to get those two guys to shush up.

And boy they did, as I gave them two dozen batches of Blue Muff-Tins, Raspberry-Choco-Orange Eclairs and Peach Cashew Crumble Cakes.

But if there's one thing I learned from my mom is that you've gotta kill your kingdom into kindness. Because she's outdone herself in it.

And she expects me to do the same...

Maybe just sometimes.

As I pack my stuff and load out to leave my room, I see my mother standing in the way.

"Why?! Tori! What are you doing in the middle of the night think about-?!"

I knew I was busted. And that there's no point in lying.

We both sat on the bed, and I wait for my mother to scold me, about going out to the wild in the night without supervision.

"Tori what am I gonna do with you?" She exhausted.

I didn't say a word back to her, as I usually did, and from the silence, we learned from each other.

Don't hide secrets.

But I want my space to keep them.

Ever since then, my mother became more restrictive, where I had to hustle harder under her harsh disciplinary style and I was getting use to it.

Oh who am I kidding? I wanted to go outside more than the life in me and enjoy the beautiful sun or the moonlight that would sparkle in the sky.

Or feel the harsh bark of the trees scratch my skin, or the brush of pine needles or that wind which tangled my hair out of my face as I ride on Maximus...

Or even being close to RM.

Alas, I've got to keep bustling harder.

Well that night I didn't make it.

This time I don't care as I jumped down, take Maximus out and head out to the woods.

This time it was harshly raining and thunder booked our lands and raised it's supreme hierarchy.

That's why I left on such a day, since all the guards have taken their break over a roof, until the rain stops.

I just kept going and I could feel Maximus getting more and more anxious about what will happen next.

We both stopped, as he wouldn't go any further, no matter how hard I tried to push him. I take a look at where RM's cottage stood, but there was only green soaked grass and more trees.

As if it was a figment of my mind and RM was not real.

I bent my knees down and cried while Maximus, started to approach me to comfort my uneasiness, before pulling me by his bite on my soaked cloak to go back home.
