In a vanishing second, the van flies off from the cliff as the creature that Zoey saw behind pushed them down to their doom.
And now they brace for the impact.
The van nose dives into the water, the immense pressure inside the car increased as they all were trapped in a dangerous water cage.
Zyan, Ken and Noah all look for things to take out to break the windows... but it felt as though they couldn't do anything...
Not until, a young woman saw them and brought an army of what could be said as goblin gnomes, maybe even trolls, with multicolored hair, emerald green skin and gremlin features, bringing in their own makeshift submarine made out of firm bamboo, straw, stone, metals, and bottled glass to save the dying quintet from drowning.
"Thank you," Leah said to the young midgets and the girl, to which she smiled, while the midget creatures were aloof and cold.
They left without saying a word to them, but they whispered something to the little girl.
Leaving the quintet confused on what they said.
"Umm... who are you?" Ken asked.
"My name is Akira, princess of the gnobbles, and soon to be queen."
"What's a Gnobble?" Noah asked curiously and Akira just smiles at him, her ocean blue eyes piercing, "Gnobbles are my minions and they are hardworking, brave and cold warriors... and their like magical gnomes whose main job is to protect the forest."
"But then why did you save us?" Zyan asked, doubting her intentions.
"It's because as their queen, I rule them and have made it obligatory to save your lives. And it's not without a cause."
"Wait a cause?" Zoey impatiently waits to hear Akira respond gently, "You're the five descendants that have come to save us..."
They all looked at each other, bewildered by what this little girl means when she says that they're the destined five.
What could they possibly do to save them?
"I'll let you know more, as we head over to where I live..." she says.
And the five of them follow the little girl, without realizing what they are getting themselves into.
"We take out the bioluminescence of twinkling fireflies and algae, and temporarily use it during the night, then the next day it will all be gone," Akira explains as the group is passing through a crowded narrow path of estranged vines, smeared with blue and yellow goo. "We used to steal from the Manamachi tribe as they had access to everything... literally EVERYTHING," they all turn to look at Akira questioningly, who just smiles nonchalantly and dismisses their expressions.
"Oh well, here you go guys. Your sleeping quarters are here," and the group looked at the individual five coffee cave compartments, which can only fit one person inside. "Oh, and to sleep," Akira moves herself to pull a string inside one of the caves, "Just pull on this," and out comes a fitting cotton-woven cacoon.
I guess that's better than sleeping without it.
"So... Are you gonna tell us about how we are the special five or...?"
"Let's talk after you guys finished dinner, then we'll get into the details. Get ready. Ladies you can use my quarters, while the men can use the lake over there,"
"What no-" Zyan tried to argue, however, Akira got to his tongue.
"My kingdom, my rules. You can follow along, or sleep outside with our enemies out there," she sassed.
