Between Red and Blue Knots III

Katty's POV:   

It changed and I certainly felt a change in myself. As I was staring at it, Chae Sunbae came behind me. "Ah! You scared me!" I yell. But all she did was take my wrist and drag me to the car.

"I'm done with my parts, now, let me know what is finally going on with that spooked necklace you've been carrying around? And about how you got it?"

"Prepare yourself for a long story..." I say to her. I explained the situation starting from my dream to meeting the old woman, to the condition I had, and explaining how this pendant works.

"But that's so strange?"

"Yeah, I thought that even if I did tell you about it I was afraid that you'd think I'm a loon."

"Yeah," and we both finally were at ease once we opened up to each other.

"Look Sunbae, I wanna let you know that I'm sorry for hiding this a secret when I should have

told you the truth in the first place."

"That's okay. I forgive you as long as you don't do it again," She gently rubs my palm and I felt at ease.

"Thank you," I cried to her. She tried to grab me in for a hug, but since I had that necklace in my hand, I put it in a small compartment in the car and hugged her for quite a moment.

"Now onto the condition. That old hag said that you had two days to find your soulmate?"

"Yes," I sigh out in disappointment.

"Well, let's get started on it now!"

"What? Are you mad?!"

"Yes if it means to save my friend from this curse, I'm willing to go through anything."

"Sunbae," I say waiting for another embrace under her wing.

"Now is not the time to sit on our comfortable butts. I'll introduce you to the people around here and see if there's any change to that necklace."

"Am I gonna wear it?' She gave me that reflective expression that was obvious. I had to wear the necklace to test which person, if any here, is my "soulmate".  

"Wait for Sunbae!"

"What?"

I open up my suitcase, and take out the red ruby necklace, "Here you go." I say to her.

"Ohh... Katty it's perfect. Thank you for buying this for me and it's ruby?"

"Yep. And you're welcome." And with that, we both head out of the car.  

I felt like I was gonna puke out the remains of the acid burning inside. Chae Sunbae introduced me to the staff, the director, and all the managing teams all around. But the pendant remained stark white with a tint of blue as the shadow of the butterfly remained still. 

Suddenly, a young woman bumped into me. "I'm sorry" I apologize to her, helping her steady her balance.

"Oh thank you for helping me-"

"Ahh don't lie. I saw you do that on purpose." I look around expecting to hear that from Chae Sunbae, however, I see the man I've had an eye on this whole time. Even now, I'm shameless enough to stare at him, not paying attention to anything outside of him.

"Apologize to her," he looks over to her and she bends her head down, "Sorry."

I nod my head and I look back at him, watching him take off with Park Bo-Gum, Kim Samuel, and Cha Eun-Woo.
