Alright continuing in the current moments of my life, the rest of the day was a blur between me in and out of consciousness, basically sleeping on and off, and when I wasn't sleeping Scott was trying to get me to eat something later on, but I didn't think I could stomach anything.

We waited till my dad got back which was like at 11 pm. Apparently he had to stay later for night scenes, lovely. When my dad got here, I didn't even try to get up. I was too tired and I just didnt wanna get up.

"What's wrong with her?"

"Yeah about that, we should probably go into another room, I need to talk to you."

"Okay that's not what I was expecting."

Then they left me meanwhile I was still in my state of shock, confusion, anger, sadness, relief, but mostly regret. I maybe shouldn't have reacted the way I did, maybe I overreacted. Did I make a mistake? No right, he left me when I needed him the most.

*CHRIS POV*

Scott led me to his bedroom and closed the door. Basically dragged me to the part of the room that was farthest from the door.

"Okay, so what happened?"

"You're in for a good one."

"Okay..."

"Like seriously not anything i was expecting."

"Scott spit it out."

"We saw Hope's dad."

"I'm her dad, and her real one is dead."

"That's what she thought, but he's not."

"Okay what the fuck."

"That's what I said, anyway so we went to go get food, and we ordered the food to go, and went to eat at a park, because we thought it would be good to be outside. So we were sitting and then a family of 3 came up to where we were at."

"Okay, continue."

"They took off their mask while they were playing with their kid, and hope recognized him and then he recognized her because she was eating so she took her mask off. And then this whole thing happened, and then she wanted to leave and so I had already picked up assuming she would want to go, and so when we got into the car she had a mental breakdown and then said que music and continued to listen to Montero, slumber party, candy shop, and many other songs that shall not be named, also she sang all of these meanwhile having said mental breakdown."

"So he's alive, how- Hope said she saw him die, she has nightmares about it, I'm confused. Wouldn't he want her back? Or at least would want to see her?"

"That's what your daughter said, also she's been in and out of sleep because every time she wakes up she has a panic attack which I'm assuming she had nightmares, but she wouldn't let me near her and I didn't wanna trigger anything."

"Scott, I'm not going to work tomorrow, thank you, now I know I'm confused, but I'm imagining what Hope is thinking and trust me it's probably not good."

"Yeah I figured, you guys should probably talk, not right now though, she's exhausted, and I don't think she knows her emotions yet."

"Yeah, thanks Scott, I'll have a talk with her tomorrow, I give her two weeks till she breaks and starts having another mental breakdown and finally says what she's thinking."

"You don't think that'll happen tomorrow?"

"I know my daughter, she'll pretend like she's okay, and then break eventually and tell me everything and then the healing process will happen and then she'll just have ptsd, like every other 16 year old."

"That's not normal."

"I know that, that part was sarcastic about the 16 year old."

"You have spent way too long with Hope."

"Not nearly enough."

"Okay another thing, the guy gave me his phone number in case she wanted to contact him or you contact him, here let me write it down."

Scott wrote down the number and gave me the piece of paper, and I just put it in my pocket.

"Thank you."

"Yup, just let me have updates, just like if she's okay or not."

"Yeah i'll let you know."

We walked back into the living area, and hope looked like she fell asleep.

"Also she didn't eat much, and didn't want to eat."

"Alright, got it, I'll try to get her to eat something."

I checked again and she was asleep. I didn't wanna wake her up knowing that she's been having nightmares all day.

"You think you can still pick her up?"

"I've done this a million times."

"Yeah when she was 13 and 14."

"Okay I could do this. I got this."

And then I picked her up with ease. We got down to the car, and Scott opened the back seat. I laid her down, said bye to scott and left for the hotel. Hope woke up halfway there.

"If i hadn't seen you I would have thought I was kidnapped."

"I mean I can still kidnap you."

"Would it be kidnapping if I wanted to go?"

"I dont think so."

"Did Scott tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"He did tell you, you can't lie, we both know this already, stop trying."

"Ya know the first day your back to being normal isn't normal at all."

"I have a tendency to have chaos revolving around me, I'm not sure why, but it makes for a good admissions essay for when I have to write it."

"I like how that's what you're thinking about."

"It's a gift of mine not to focus on anything that's happening in the present unless I want to."

"We're gonna have a chat tomorrow, but for now you either need food, or sleep."

"I'll take a nap. My nerves are telling me if I eat anything I will throw up not even 5 minutes later."

"Today im not forcing you to eat but tomorrow you're eating breakfast."

"I'll be with Scott so you'll never know."

"Actually I don't have to go to the set tomorrow, so you're stuck with me."

"Darn."

"I thought you loved spending time with me."

"Where you get that idea."

"You hurt me."

"I hurt me too, you're not special."

"Wow."

"You know I love you dad, and I appreciate everything you've done for me."

"I'm just trying my best to make you the best you, you can be."

"You sounded like my school, please never say anything that cheesy ever again."

We laughed and talked the rest of the way and when we got to the hotel and inside the room, Hope plopped herself on her couch bed. I saw her having a hard time actually going to sleep.

"You wanna watch a movie with me?"

"Sure i'm having trouble sleeping."

I scooted over and she sat on the empty side of the bed, we chose a classic, and watched the lion king, love that movie. She fell asleep halfway through on my shoulder, and I laid her down properly.

Although she would not let go of me, so I just let it be, and went to bed also. I really am not looking forward to what the future weeks we have in Los Angeles have in store for us. I can tell it's not gonna be easy, especially not for Hope.
