Saranghae
Chapter 3
My roommate
Jessie's POV
I sat in the passenger's seat of Eun-Joo's car the next morning. I had fell asleep and woke up the next morning in a bed instead of a car. We were parked outside the dorm house I am now going to be living in. It was a tall classy looking building. Dressed in white. The truck will be here later but Eun-Joo wanted me to meet the girls early.
My hands shook on my lap. My bottom lip quivered. I felt like I was back in highschool, right when you were called on to write the answer on the board. What if they don't like? I heard there are seven other girls... Seven people. How am I going to deal with that? I can barely talk to more than three without going into shock. I don't know if I can do this...
A hand touched my shoulder. I jumped. I looked over. Eun-Joo smiled. "Don't worry about it. I'm going in with you." She said. Her voice was soft. A shaky breath left my lips. I don't want to leave the car.
"Doesn't mean you're staying forever." I whispered.
"It'll be fine. If you ever get scared I'm a phone call away, so is the boys." She said. I rose an eyebrow. Who is She talking about?
"Who?" I asked.
"Sehun, and Xiumin" She answered. My eyes widened.
"What? No!" I said. My hands began to sweat. I didn't think I would have to see them again. But to talk to them more... I mean I love their band and they seem friendly, it's just scary. I thought it would only be a one time experience.
"Well yeah, I gave them your number last night when you were asleep." She said. "They might call you later." She said and I shook my head furiously.
"Tell them They have the wrong number!" I said, the words came out of my mouth so quickly. It didn't sound like a comprehend able sentence, but just a bunch of gibbers. She laughed. Her head rolled back.
"Talk slower, your Korean gets confusing when you panic. Its so funny." She laughed. Her laugh lines stretched, I glared in return. I'm panicking and she's having a field day.
"Tell them." I said slowly taking my time with each word.
"No," she smirked. "Now we really have to go inside." She said looking over and opening the car down. I threw my head down and groaned softly. She popped out of the car and slammed the door shut.
They are going to hate me. They are going to look at me weird. They're going to wonder why they were the unlucky ones to get the American in their band. Oh God. Who am I sharing a room with? She's going to hate me, I'm sure of it. No I'm positive she already hates me. Damn it.
My hands are sweating buckets now. Eun-Joo knocked on the Window. I jumped in my seat. She gave me the mother look. I shook my head and she popped the door open. I waited as my stomach turned. Why me. I sighed and finally popped out.
"That's my girl." She said and ruffled my hair. I swatted her hand away.
"Can I back out?" I asked.
"No." The answer was immediate and final. We started toward the building. My heart was pounding and I could barely hear anything out of my own mind. Her hand touched my back. "You need to calm down." She said. Her brown eyes calming me strangely.
I looked up and dragged out a sigh. We took small steps. At one point she grabbed onto my hand and I held onto it gratefully. I appreciate that she's there for me.
She's always been there for me and I'm happy to lean on her.
I gripped her hand as we walked towards a door after an elevator trip. She dropped her eyes down to me. We stood in front of the door. There were voices on the other sound. Rushed voices.
