School finally ended and I was waiting patiently for my grandfather to hurry the hell up so I can go home.

I sat underneath a tree in the courtyard enjoying the breeze and the shade. I had my eyes closed and my head back, trying to relax.

"Hello" a light and bright voice found its way to my ears.

I peaked one eye open to see two people in front of me.

From the looks of it they were related, so I'm just gonna assume they are twins.

"Hello, I'm Flora and this my twin sister Fauna." She waved at me unenthusiastically.

"Hello, I'm Emerson. Not to be rude but why are y'all talking to me?"

I didn't wanna sound rude, but I'm like a germ to them. No one wants to be friends with the 'human'.

"Well we wanted to be your friend. It's not right how people pick on you as if you had control of your, er, um condition." Flora tried to explain without offending me.

"If you don't mind, befriending the freak, then sure. I'd be glad to be your friends." I wasn't saying this sincerely, if anything I was skeptical.

From elementary till now I've had people become my friends to just turn against me when the time was right.

How was this any different.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My eyes quickly scanned my surroundings after an ear-piercing screech echoed around the school.

I quickly got up and followed the growing crowd towards the commotion.

There was a mixture of panic and teachers trying to quickly gain back control but no one was prepared for what stood in front of the whole student body.

My stomach churned, while others freely threw up. Other looked faint while some did faint. "Someone call the elders." A teacher yelled out.

"Students please quickly contact your parents or start making your way home." A school security guard yelled out.

No one could move due to the horror that stood in front of them.

There was so much blood and it was everywhere. Still pooling around the body that was torn to pieces and left for someone to find.

The child looked no older than 12 and yet he was at a school for super-humans 15 and up. How did he get here and who would do such a thing.

I felt sick to the stomach and my vision became blurry.

Flora and Fauna quickly grabbed me and dragged me away once they saw how pale
My body became.

"Mer, breathe. Please breathe. It's okay, the elders will get to the bottom of this. Try to forget what you saw." Fauna tried to comfort me but I can tell that the image haunted her brain as well.

Flora looked sick but she tried to hold back her vomit to help comfort me.

Many students parents quickly came to pick them up. Students were visibly shaking and others were being carried away by others students as well.

My breathing never calmed but it slowed down from hyperventilating to just dull gasps of air. My grandfather found me and quickly came to my side.

"Please tell me he didn't see that gruesome scene." My grandfather begged Flora and Fauna to tell him that I didn't but from the way they looked at him, he knew I've had.

"Thank you girls for watching over him till I can get to him. Are y'all parents on the way?" As soon as he asked, two people who resembled the twins swooped in and grabbed them.

Flora broke down first in her mother's arms while Fauna shook in her fathers arms. They held their cool up long enough until their parents could help them cope.

"Emerson, please look at me." I look towards my father and his eyes were growing emerald green.

"Sleep." He touched my forehead, and I was out like a light.
