My alarm decided to ruin the best dream of my life, Halle Barry and Zendaya. The best dream a man could ask for, I swear.

I rolled over until I was at the very edge of the bed. My body started to hover and I made my way around the room without my feet touching the floor.

God, do I love this flying thing. It's so beneficial especially in the mornings. After picking out my clothes, I was into the bathroom getting ready as usual.

With a quick once over in the mirror, I was ready to get the hell out of here. I was anxious thinking about what people will say when they see me.

I was the talk of the school but not for anything positive and I doubt they forgot about me. The powerless weak kid.

Halfway down the steps, I remembered one important item that I was missing.

"Fuck, my gloves." I sighed in frustration that I had to go back up the steps.

"LANGUAGE!!" My mother shouted from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes thanking God she didn't see me do it.

I went into the drawer of my side dresser and got my famous black gloves out. Now my outfit is complete.

I looked like a bad boy just ready to start trouble. I'm most definitely the opposite of that....Unless your girlfriend pretty, then I might be a problem.

"EMERSON COME EAT!." My mom yelled yet again out to me. I quickly scrambled down the steps and into my seat, right as she set the eggs on my plate.

"This looks good, grandpa's cooking wasn't the best for sure and I missed your food." I smiled at her like a kid in a candy shop. Home cooked meals are so much greater than fast food, and I learned that these last three years.

"Eat up soo you can be strong and show those hotshots who is the best." My mom joked as she began throwing the dishes into the sink.

I chuckled at her and began scarfing down my food.

"Okay inmate 18, calm down. No one wants your biscuit."

I looked at her but kept eating like a pig. I see she's starting to have jokes. She'll be alright when I get her back for that inmate joke.

Once I finished my breakfast, I helped my mom tidy up the kitchen and clean the dishes. Once finished, I realized that there was only 10 minutes left before school started and I still had to get my transcript from the office.

"Mom, think you can teleport me to school, I would run or fly, but your method is a lot faster."

I could just touch her and gain her power but, I don't know how to really do that safely yet and I'll be damned if my mom is my first experiment. I'll test it on dad just in case I mess up.

"Are you sure honey? Last time you were so embarrassed."

"Mom, I don't care what those self righteous bastards have to say." I stated firmly.

She smiled up at me proudly, "now that's my baby boy."

I didn't have to close my eyes this time which was cool, but I wished I did. I was dizzy for a quick second before I could get myself together.

"Thank you mom, I'll see you after school." I hugged her and kissed her cheek before speed running into the school and ending up at the office in less than 1.5 seconds.

"Hello, I'm Emerson and I'm picking up my schedule." I spoke to the front desk receptionist.

"Oh hello Emerson! It's been so long and look at you, you're all grown up. You'll have to tell me how the human world was!" The receptionist gushed.
