A New Beginning

Surprise

We went through and i forced him to get a bear too. We both picked the classic brown bears and made our wishes. Under my breathe i wished, "i hope i can be happy in this town." Seb whispered into his too, but since I'm nosy i listened as closely as i could and heard him say, "i wish...she is happy in stardew." I blushed and stared at the worker. He smiled at me knowing what both of us said.

Seb:you didn't hear me right?
Y/N:no. Did you hear me?
Seb:not really. I heard happy and that's really it.

My heart stopped. I was scared. We both went for the clothes next. I got my teddy a little hoodie and all black clothes. He had a lime green shirt under his hoodie that had stripes on it. *for an idea it looked like a mix of shanes clothes and Sebastians clothes* Seb looked at mine and stared at it.

Y/N:look, it has a little skateboard too! And i think i saw a sword I might get that too.
Seb:...why?
Y/N:because he's adventures.
Seb:...what about a little book, and a stethoscope, or even a little science set?
Y/N;oh my yoba youre right! Ill make it to where he's the Barbie of bears!
Seb:why did i do this...i know she has the money for it.
Y/N:youre not gonna give your little guy anything special?
Seb:...here, a computer.
Y/N:...Sebastian at least try.
Seb:and a headset.

I rolled my eyes. We were naming our teddys. This is where i struggled. I had no name. I had nothing.

Seb:having trouble?
Y/N:I have nothing.
Seb:....use the name nihil.
Y/N:huh Neil?
Seb:no in Latin, its spelled N I H I L it means nothing.
Y/N:that's funny! Ok what about you what did you name yours?
Seb:...ursa
Y/N:...Latin?
Seb:bear. In Latin

He's so lame! But at least he had something. And it didn't look stupid in first glance. We put everything in the bags and went home. As we got back to the house i pulled the truck into Lewis's little spot for his truck. Seb and i walked back to his house with our bears. Where maru was waiting for me.

Maru:hey i have something for you come on! Here seb you take this!

She threw my little guy at seb and all his stuff. She dragged me to the pub where everyone was waiting. It was 6pm now and gus had thrown a welcome buffet for me. Sams mom came up to me as i entered.

Jodi:we were all really grateful that you took care of everything we didn't need or want and it let us make room for other stuff. We just wanted to celebrate the fact that you are here now..and well welcome you home!
Y/N:thank you jodi! And everyone, this was really sweet guys.
Lewis:that reminds me we need your birthday for the calendar.
Y/N:oh fall the 17th.

Lewis wrote it down in a small book and then music started to play. Seb never came down to join but the rest of town was here. It was about 10 pm when people finally started to leave, maru hung out with me most of the night but then her dad called her and she headed back home. I decided to sit by shane.

Shane:you know this was just a distraction.
Y/N:I'm sorry what
Shane:robin was putting stuff in your house. Just thought I'd ruin the surprise for you.
Y/N: chicken man why are you cruel?
Shane:how?
Y/N:they went through so much work to keep it a secrete and make sure I didn't come home too early. Now youre here to ruin it all?
Shane:then leave, next time you want someone who wont ruin everything go hang out with someone else.
Y/N:youre not as bad as you think you are chicken man.
Shane:trust me I'm worse.
Y/N:prove it.
Shane:what?
Y/N:prove to me that youre worse than i think you are. All I've seen from you is a defensive side and then a sweet old chicken man.
Shane:....fine.

Shane grabbed my waist and took me outside. Emily stared at us confused, as did marnie. He brought me all the way to the ranch. I pushed him off me and asked where we were going, but he grabbed me tighter this time and brought me to a big tree near a pond.

Shane: you still sure you want me to prove it to you?

I started laughing a little. I couldnt help it. He looked so unintmidatiny to me, especially as he tried to threaten me. So decided to show him how to be threatening instead. I grabbed the arm that was holding onto me and twisted it up over his head, i pushed him up to the tree standing on my tip toes so i hit his eye level. His eyes suddenly got wide and he just stared at me.

Y/N:shane, youre the least threatening person in this town. I'm more afraid of penny, only because shes so quiet and i find it a little suspicious that the school burnt down after her graduation. But you shane? You are nothing but a chicken man to me.

My voice got quiet and i pushed him down so I didn't have to be on my tip toes, he made a noise of slight pain.

Y/N:now, shane. Who's the scary one?
Shane:me.

He turned us around. He was on top and smiling but not the cute one from earlier...this one was...weird. It wasn't numb but it was angry? He pushed into me hurting my wrist but i refused to make a noise. I didn't let myself look like i was scared. He grabbed my head and turned me slightly, i was ready to hit him.

Shane:I'm just fucking with you, i wanted to see what you'd do. Sorry.

He whispered into my ear and backed off. I stared at him and his smile was back to the cute one. My face was hot and i was mad. I jumped onto his back and started to hit him. He walked with me up there back to the farm house.

Y/N:youre a fuckin asshole! Why would you do that!
Seb:wow what did you do to her? She looks like an angry little carebare
Abby:awww she does!
Sam:i got her.

Sam grabbed my waist, he was the same height as shane and taller than everyone else. So when he grabbed me i crossed my arms and legs in anger.

Sam:its ok.

He patted my head as he set me down. Shane laughed at me and told them that he was teasing me, soon robin and maru came outside and stared at me too.

Maru:this was supposed to be a surprise...we had a whole thing planned.
Robin:...surprise y/N!
