I make my way out to Kamrin's car and I attempt to open the door of the car but it's locked. I check my pocket's and can't find the keys to Kamrin's car. I realize I forgot to grab them and go to sneak back into Kamrin's window to grab them when I hear the door unlock.

I freeze and try to hide somewhere but by the time I out where to hide, Kamrin comes out of the house and is standing in the front entryway of her house with a cross look on her face.

"Did you really think you could sneak out of MY house without ME knowing?"

Kamrin crosses her arms and looks at me sternly.

"Look, I know I should not have tried to figure out what's going on without you and I'm sorry for that  and for getting mad at you earlier." I say solemnly. " I don't suppose you have the keys do you?"

"Of course I do." She says with a smile." And apology accepted now let's go interrogate George before anybody else can."

Kamrin unlocks the car and we both hop in and she starts to back out of the driveway. As we drive down the road and approach a stop light, Kamrin anxiously taps her fingers on the steering wheel.

"So...you know how you said that you think Roni likes me." Kamrin starts to say. "Well we may possibly be currently dating."

"I knew it!" I say as I turn towards her. "I had a feeling you guys got back together. Oh, and next time  you try to have a secret relationship without me knowing please try to make it less obvious." I tell her as a smirk appears on my face.

Kamrin's mouth drops open and she scoffs. She turns to face forward and the light turns green. After a couple of minutes of casually blasting music at midnight we finally make it to George's house.

We get out of the car and notice that George's light is on in his. I find a small rock and throw it at his window. He turns around and looks out the window and notices that we're standing in his driveway. He motions that he's coming down to meet us and soon enough we hear the door open and close.

"What are you guys doing here?" George asks a lot more calmly than he did earlier today.

"We just wanted to know what was going on with you and Ronnie." I reply calmly.

"So, I'm assuming he didn't tell you why I reacted like that. Typical. He never likes to acknowledge his problems never has. I tell you but only if it stays between us."

Kamrin and I agree.

We all sit down on the sidewalk as George starts to tell us his side of what happened between him and Ronnie.

"Everything all started back during the end of spring break I believe. Stephanie and I started hanging out more and our relationship turned into more than just a friendship. And the more and more we kept seeing each other the more our feelings grew for each other. Ronnie and I stopped hanging out and he probably thought something was up because he hadn't really heard from Steph either. So, one night after spring break had ended we were hanging out as usual and if I'm being honest, I don't know why I let our relationship go on so long because she kept telling me she was going to break up with him but she never did. Well, until he barged into my house and caught us kissing in my bedroom. He flipped out, even punched a hole in my wall and then, when Steph started crying and trying to calm him down. He looked her dead in the eyes, called her a whore and slapped her. Right across the face. I HATED him after that moment, still do. He had NO right to do that to her."

George wipes away frustrated tears that keep falling down his face and he continues.

"I loved her, I still do. And now...I don't even know if she's okay or...alive. She went missing I think a couple weeks after that happened and I haven't been able to get in touch with her since."

"Wow, all of that happened right under our noses and we didn't know. Well now it all makes sense what Steph was hiding now you can stop worrying about it all Lily." Kamrin tells me in sort of relived tone.

But, to me something doesn't add up. If that was the only thing she was hiding then why did she seem so paranoid? Why did her mental health silo down into a bottomless pit never to be found again as well as her self esteem?

As I concentrate on my thoughts, I hear my phone ring and it's Jamal. Someone I haven't heard from in a while. I answer the phone.

"Hey, are you with Kamrin?" He asks.

"Yeah, why?" I say in return.

"Because the police found Steph...'s body...and they want all of us to come down to the station for questioning."

I freeze.

Stephanie's dead. She wasn't just kidnapped she, was murdered. And now we need to find out who the killer is before they strike again.
