The next day, Bellamy and I had work which took my mind off of Lance. I settled on the idea that he probably wouldn't come in here anymore, easing my worries even more so. Bellamy didn't dare leave me to my own devices all day, incase I had what he referred to as a 'flare up', basically me breaking down over anything and everything. I didn't actually. I coped better than I thought I would considering it had only just happened yesterday. I felt okay. I missed him don't get me wrong and were he to come into the cafe, I think I would have to leave but it was no big deal. I didn't think of Lance.

Getting home was a different story however, not only did Lance end up driving past Bellamy and I as we walked but he made eye contact with me, shooting me a puffy eyed glance and biting his lip softly. He certainly looked like a worse day had come his way, unlike me. Clavis was also waiting for the two of us to return when we had walked in. He came over to Bellamy and hugged him before he could even lock the door. Once they had broken away, he stared me down and huffed. "what is your problem?" I snapped. "you are okay." He snapped back. I folded my arms tight and tapped my foot lightly against the hard oak floor. "and why does that make this a bad thing?" I returned while rolling my eyes. You could see that Clavis was finding it difficult not to retaliate.

"The entire day he was at work, he had to excuse himself from each lesson and sit in the toilets until he calmed down. He shouldn't have even been in school but He didn't want to seem weak to you and pushed through regardless. You absolute moron!" he raised his voice towards the end and was stood dead close to me. He may have been younger than I but he still felt more powerful. Probably because he was significantly taller than me.

"How do you know I wasn't doing that?"

"Because you wouldn't be stood here waiting for a month until I kill you, you would be running back and trying to win him over." He had a point.

"yeah well maybe this is better for the two of us." I raised my hand to my hair and flattened it before messing with the small mullet I had started to grow back.

"you can't be serious? Are you actually going to pull that card yet again. You know what, I don't know what that man sees in you for him to be this distraught over such a Dick." Bellamy sidled over and rest an arm on Clavis' shoulder.

"please. Give it a rest. He is going through just as much pain as Lance. They just show it differently. Okay?" I couldn't hold it. It was the fact that perhaps, Bellamy was wrong. I hadn't felt upset all day and yet the man that I loved had powered through the day with tissues and regular toilet trips just so that he wouldn't stoop so low to the point of going home. I ran upstairs trying to avoid the two of their gazes. I had never seen Clavis so angry or frustrated, typically he was the prince charming of which he had been nicknamed. The regal man who everywhere he went would seem to harness the stares of others. He looked almost lost at the moment, only regaining himself within the comfort of his beloved. I had that once. It was gone.

I sat on the bed that had been given to me for the time being and held my head in my hands. Only raising it when I heard a knock. "keith, may I come in?"

"Leave me alone Clavis." I shouted through strangled sobs.

"Keith I'm sorry please let me in." Too afraid that he would be persistent and not leave until he gets what he wants, I allowed him in. His tall frame waltzed over and sat on the bed next to me. "im sorry." He didn't look at me and just sat with his hands in his lap, playing with his ring finger that lay empty. "lance has been a mess all day but he is losing hope, he doesn't want you to come back because he thinks that you being with him would make you unhappy. I tried to tell him that's ridiculous but he shrugged me off." I looked up in utter shock. Lance was giving up. "Even if you were to go back, he doesn't want you to. He said he was done with everything to do with you and relationships full stop. I probably shouldn't be telling you this so bluntly but I need you to open your eyes before you destroy yourselves."

"He said all of that." The other man hummed in confirmation and nodded. "damn, I'm an idiot." I sighed. He hummed again and nodded. "you weren't meant to agree with that." I pouted. He chuckled lightly himself and looked up too.

"Well, I can't lie if it's the truth."

"so what do I do now?"

"What do you think is best?" he returned.

"I don't know, I asked Bellamy but he said the same thing."

"Bellamy is a wise man." Clavis tilted his head back and stared at the grey ceiling in thought, a faint blush and smile on his face. "in all honesty, I think that you should go back to him. You need him and he needs you. It's obvious, and you know that. I think you are just scared of the commitment, correct me if I'm wrong." I shook my head.

"i can't go back just yet, I mean, I need him to calm down first." I sighed.

"You really are an idiot aren't you?" Clavis face palmed.

"What do you mean by that, what did I say?" he stood up and glanced back down at me through his eyelashes.

"nothing. Just remember, you have just under a month to figure this out. And know this, everyday that passes by that you leave him longer, he will drift further and further away from your grasp. I am doing everything that I can to keep him set on you. Also expect a lecture from me each day in return for you doing nothing." He walked out and downstairs calling after Bellamy. I followed shortly afterwards and stood at the top of the stairs staring at the two embracing each other as Clavis swayed the two of them gently. They were both giggling uncontrollably and smiling like there was no tomorrow. I could have had that but I pushed it away like everything else in my life. I want Lance.

I ran downstairs and grabbed my coat, barging past the two and pulling on my boots. "where are you going?" Bellamy wondered.

"im going to see Lance." I called back and met eyes with Clavis who gave me a reassuring smile. I left as quick as I had arrived and jumped into the car. "here I come Lance."
