Chapter 22

A week later.

Dean

"Mom, why don't we live in our own house?" I questioned, She looks down at me, her eyes just glaring at me.

"Don't be disrespectful Dean, Reno offers us a nice room in his mansion so be grateful." I nodded quickly and went back to coloring in my book.

Regretting the question.

"Bella can I see you in my office," Reno says walking up to us and mom smiled nodding. "I'll be there in a minute," he says and mom pats my head, leaving the room.

Reno smiles at me and asked. "You alright, kiddo?" I nodded and he kept staring at me, weird.

"You look just like your father when he was young," and then he left leaving me confused.

"Earth to fucking Dean," Rome punches my arm hard and I glared at him. "That hurt asshole," he smiled and lean back into the chair, bringing the liquor bottle to his lips.

"Where did you go?" He questioned and I shrug, bringing the glass full of liquor to my lips. "Nowhere special,"

Rome stared at me for a second seeming unconvinced then looked away and cursed. "Shit, I forgot I have this meeting thing with some fucking gang leader," he grips his drink at the words gang leader.

"Not a fan?" I questioned, chuckling. Rome turns to me and glared. "Fuck no, the guy is an ass. Now I have to go clean up a fucking murder."

"A murder?" I questioned, shocked.

Rome nodded his head, drinking down the last bit of his liquor. "Yeah, add murder clean up to my job."

I shook my head and he stands up. "Dean," he calls, and I look up making eye contact with him. "No matter what you were always my brother,"

"Thanks that means a lot," I smiled and I watched as he walked out.

The door opened after he left and my dad walked in. "Son," he says.

Dad sat down on the empty chair beside me and fold his legs. "Why weren't you at dinner?" I shrug my shoulders and pull out a cigarette not answering.

Dad took the cigar from my hand and threw it across the room.

"I was going to smoke that," he sighs and shook his head.

"I might not be your son and you look happy," dad turned to me, angry. "Just because I look happy doesn't mean I don't want to strangle someone and don't say you might not be my son. Because you are my son, I fucking raised you."

"I'm sorry dad, I didn't mean it like that," I apologize and he shook his head.

"I know, son," And he got up, making his way to the door. "Dad," I called.

He turns to me. "Yeah son?"

"I love you, dad," He smiled and said. "I love you too," and walked out of the room.

I took some time to think and then left the room. When I reached Blake's office everyone except Hope, Gabriel, Jay, Carter, Alex, and Hayden was there.

"Can we just get this over with," Jayden says, sitting down beside Roman who sat with his arm at the back of the chair.

The others and I all stand.

After we found out, Blake his brothers, and I both did a cheek and under our tongue swab and then we took it to the lab for testing.

Nate brought the results back a while ago but we didn't want to rush things. But then the others grew impatient so here we are.

The others who aren't here went to sleep before the test came and Blake didn't want to wake them because Jayden and the others are impatient.

Blake sent me a look and I took the result from him.

When I opened the white paper up, the words were surprising.

"So what does it say?" Roman questioned and I look at Blake who was staring at his drink as if its the most interesting thing right now.

"Not-related,"
