I lost interest in my book which rarely happens and decide to take a shower.
The warm water rushed over my body making me feel better and more energized, I need a small boost.
I sigh and step out rubbing my hair with my dry towel. Then I realize I left my clothes in my room. Luckily my bathroom was joined to my bedroom so it wasn't very far. I walk out and pick up a shirt shorts and everything else then head back for the bathroom to change.
It wasn't too big of a deal until I notice Lachlan on his balcony and my curtains weren't pulled. Shit.
He was looking straight at me cheekily smiling.
I hate you >:(
I write. He laughs and responds, "you were the one with the open curtains.
That doesn't make it less your fault
"Can't you just open your window?" He asks which I respond,
My hair is wet. I don't want to get a cold.
"It's like 70 degrees you know." I nod making him smile again and roll his eyes.

Time skip a few weeks later
---------------------------------"Fiona and I are going to head out. Why don't you and Lachlan hang out? You two seem to be enjoying each other." Granny explains.
"Do I have to?" I groan."Would you rather just sit here all day? If so you can." I would usually say yes but I just finished my last book I currently had.
"I guess I'll go. I need another book anyway." I sigh taking a drink from my water bottle.I knocked on the door and Fiona answered. "Hello. I was wondering if Lachlan would want to hang out with me today." I explain faking a smile. I just wanted to go to the book store that's it. I didn't want to go alone and I'd rather go with him then just sit around with absolutely nothing to do.
Besides, we can just go to the store and maybe I can think of an excuse to leave and go back home. That's not too rude right? What he doesn't know won't kill him.
After a second Lachlan comes down in a blue plaid button up and khakis. I'll admit he looked really nice compared to my tank top and jean shorts. Last time I saw him he had a normal white t-shirt.
"Hey. Where you want to go first?" He ask jingling his keys in his hands. He was 17 and I was 15 so he could drive. I don't get why he seemed attracted to me. It was weird because I'm not like him at all plus I'm younger. I don't know, it just seems like he would be a guy who would go for older women and he could definitely get them I won't lie.
"I... actually maybe we should walk. You can get a better feel of Oakram since you know, you're used to the big city of Sydney, maybe this small town will catch onto you." He smiles and we start walking down the concrete path.
It wasn't a long walk from the neighborhood to the main area. It was late in the afternoon and the square would be lit up by now. This was one of my favorite things. Sitting in the square and just reading a book white the lights twinkled and soft murmurs and whispers were flowing the gentle breeze. It was a lot nicer in the winter acually. In Australia it didn't get too cold but I like to take my coat and sit watching my breathe appear and after get a hot chocolate from the nearby cafe.
"This is really nice." He stares in awe at all the lights and buildings.
"I thought you'd like it." I smile. Immediately my thoughts of ditching him vanished, but I still wanted to hit the bookstore."Where you want to go first?" He asks. I look around for the shop and smile grabbing his hand and pulling him. A surprised sound comes out of his mouth as I drag him to the glass window of the candy store.
This was my favorite place as a kid and one of my favorites now. Everyday they fill the window with new candies and samples. It was really good. "You coming?" I ask as he stares at the bright wrappings of the homemade sweets. I motion for him to come inside and he does.
The familiar scent of sugar and sweets fills my senses. "This place is amazing." He gapes at the small room. Tables with other candies circle the room and in the back is a glass container with cakes and other pastries. It was also a bakery.
"Try this one." I hand him a candy from the sample area. It was my favorite caramel they made. We unwrap ours and I plop my in my mouth with a small flick.
He chews and smiles. "This is truly amazing. I love this town already." He laughs and we walk up to the counter. I order a bag of the caramels which I do often. I attempt to grab my wallet from my pocket but Lachlan pays for it before I can.
"Thanks." I smile and take the bag from the worker.
"You're welcome. But you have to share." He cheekily smiles again. I playfully roll my eyes and open the bag handing him a candy.A/N
