A/N
HEYO! I like this book :D I hope you guys do too!I woke up feeling more exhausted than usual. I sigh and trudge into the bathroom knowing today was the day this guy would come. I take down my hair from it's messy bunny and it lands in wavy curls. I decide to keep it that way and use a little hair spray so it won't come out. They look pretty decent to be honest.
I change into a tank top and some shorts making sure to grab my book before walking downstairs smelling bacon. I sit at the breakfast bar and my grandma hands me a plate. "Thanks again." My stomach grumbles and I start to eat.
"You look nice." She gives me a small smile before I roll my eyes playfully.
"Come on. I don't even know this kid." I sigh and take another bite.
"Fine. But don't automatically say you won't like him. Besides, if you don't it's just for the summer. When summer ends he'll go back to Sydney." (yes this does take place in Australia)I mentally sigh in relief knowing that if I don't like him, which I most likely won't, I won't have to live next to him forever. Well theoretically speaking, I'll never have to live next to anyone forever.
*small time skip to afternoon*
"You excited." Granny asks as I close the door behind us.
"No. Not really." I shrug adjusting my cross body purse. I wasn't sure of what to expect from this guy. I don't even have a name so I can't think about what he looks like. Much less his personality. Of course you can't judge a person by their name, but it's fun for me to imagine then compare.I notice the new truck in their driveway as we walk up to the house. Granny knocks on the door and Mrs. Power answers with a smile.
"Welcome. Lachlan!" She calls stepping aside so we can enter. I took my usual spot in the chair crossing my legs, resting my arms on them."What is it Fiona?" I hear a semi-low voice ask coming down the stairs. I turn my head and see a blonde haired boy looking at me. He had piercing blue yes and a cold stare. I quickly look away hoping not to have to look into his eyes again.
He was cute, I'd say that, just got my type. I could tell. What am I saying? I don't need a guy. I scoff and see he sat down across my grandma. He already doesn't strike my interest. He has his feet up I the coffee table, and he's staring at me. Even when I turn my head purposefully away from his I can feel his eyes piercing the back of my head.
He was staring at me as if I were his prey, I wouldn't let that happen.
"What's you name?" He asks me narrowing his eyes.
"Alexus Springfield. I'm guessing your Lachlan Power and I can tell you aren't that disciplined." I spit making my grandma glare at me. I cross my arms over my chest as he chuckles."Well then. Your assumption is correct. Would you want to go with me to my room?"
"No wa-"
"She'd love to." Granny butts in making me roll my eyes.
"Would you like to?" He asks me again shooting my grandma a glare. My grandma shoots me a look saying 'you better go.' I roll my eyes again and get up from my chair. He doesn't move, he just stares at me. "Well? Are we going."
"Geez. Bossy. I was just trying to assume your personality like you did mine." He gets up and I follow not bothering to uncross my arms.He leads me up the stairs and opens up the door closet to the stairwell. I enter behind him seeing blue walls an posters already hung up with a few other things lying around. I notice a computer and desk in the corner and a queen sized bed pushed up against the wall.
It was a bug and pretty nice room I'd say. "Nice room." I say flatly walking around looking at all the posters. I saw a few I liked but not many.
"Sit anywhere you'd like." He sits in his computer chair and gets stares at his screen. I look over behind his back and see him exiting out of something, but I couldn't tell what it was.I sit on his bed looking seeing my house across the street from his. There was a small balcony from his and my room which made me cringe even more. This summer was most likely going to suck.
