XIII- show on the road

Skip to the night of the Christmas Eve party because I can
*still in Lachlan's POV*

I grab both my presents since I got Vik for Secret Santa. But seriously what are you supposed to get a person you don't know. I just got him a t-shirt that says "Today is a Good Day" because why not. Couldn't think of anything better anyway.

She told me that there's going to be a period where we exchange gifts with anyone we got one for so you know I grabbed Alexus'. I put everything in the back of my car and walked across the street to get her. This was weird since we weren't technically "dating", but I wish we were so it wasn't so awkward. That's not the only reason of course like I mean she's beautiful and so smart and cool and.... I'm not sure where I was going with that actually.

It was rather cold considering it's supposed to be hot around this time. Actually it was really cold. A harsh breeze brushes past chilling my cheeks and making the nearby trees sway making a small whistling sound. Eventually I reach her doorstep and knock. After a second her grandmother opens up and smiles. "Alexus! You're date is here." Immediately my blood turns to lead when she says date.
"I- I'm sorry Ms. Springfield, but we aren't dating."

"Yeah, uh huh sure." I feel my cheeks get hotter as I smile.
"Granny, we aren't dating." Alexus confirms walking up to the door. She looked beautiful. Her soft brown hair was pulled up in a half up half down ponytail making the small strands of blonde stick out. She had a small amount of make up on making her emerald green eyes stand out even more than they already do and her pale white skin seemed to be glowing in the dark light. She was stunning.

"Okay, okay Granny. But we have to get to the party." She explains snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Fine, but you two have fun." We both nod and start out to my car.
"So tell m about yourself. I don't actually know much about you." I say trying to start a conversation.

"I could say the same thing for you. When's your birthday?" She asks making me smile. That is so Alexus like seriously.
"Um August 25th." I state. "What about you?
"My birthday is also August 25th."

"You have to be kidding." I playfully punch her in the shoulder.
"Yeah, I was but seriously my birthday is August 20th." (I used my birthday because yolo) "So let's get this show on the road." She rubs her hands together licking her lips making me let out a small laugh before turning the engine on.
