"Welcome everyone to our daily podcast, today we have a special guest, one of the most brilliant authors of her time, Ms. Shin Lumi!" The host spoke with precise and intricate pronunciation that I couldn't help but smile at.
She looked at me from across the table and smiled, "Congratulations on finishing your trilogy it was such an amazing roller coaster ride, but the fans would like to ask you about the most recent work of yours."
I chuckled as I remembered what she was pertaining to. "You recently entered a competition held by List Publishing regarding their anonymous writer's work entitled Enthralling Lost Love. It was no surprise as the results were announced just yesterday that Ms. Shin right here made a review that took the author's breath away."
"Can you tell us about how that came about?"
"Oh well, first of all, I knew about the competition from my publishing company's CEO. He said that it might help with my writer's block and it definitely did, so I'm also thankful about that." I laughed even though my heart was breaking at the moment.
"I mean your CEO made the best decision, no doubt! Out of millions who applied and sent in their reviews yours got featured and was chosen by the author." The host exclaimed. "It must be exciting to have this chance to finally be the one to reveal the mystery writer's identity!"
I smiled at her, "I guess so, but mainly I just am really intrigued with his way of writing and I really want to focus on that if he ever wants to keep his identity a secret."
"I'm sure that is going to be an interesting conversation from one incredible author to another." She beamed at me.
I smiled back. I can't really maintain my focus on the interview. All I could think about was Sunghoon.
"Now, a listener asks 'What was the most interesting realization or observation you had while reading the book?'"
I stopped for a while, thinking about the times I read the book.
"Well, first of all, I thought that the book must be a diary. From the way it was written, a lot of people might assume that."
The host nodded enthusiastically, "Right, that was one of the differences between your review and the others. I mean, I also thought it was a diary."
"Yes," I chuckled, "But as I finished the book, I saw this one unfinished statement at the end that completely changed my perspective about it."
I continued, "It was a statement that could only be answered by the one whom the author dedicated the book to—Pearl."
I remembered the goosebumps I had after reading those passages, "I felt as though I was invading a sentimental moment between the two of them."
"The statement was 'The reason I got this far in my life is because...'"
I remembered the statement correctly. I cant still feel the gasp that I had after that. As I read the last sentence, everything just clicked.
"Everyone thought that the book was a diary, but it wasn't." I smiled sadly remembering the painful end of the book. "It was a farewell letter to Pearl."
