When I reached my destination, I froze as a deep voice echoed behind me. The music was loud but that voice silenced everything around me."Lumi,"
I turned around to see the man I hope to never see again.
A rush of emotions came rushing towards me as I looked at his face holding such a beautiful smile.
A smile I have grown to hate.
His eyes were the same eyes that I fell in love with, but somehow those same eyes just make me want to run away.
"Sunghoon," even his name felt like venom coming out of my mouth. A bitter taste arising from my taste buds.
I could see everyone looking at him.
At us.
The famous high school sweethearts united once again after their mysterious time apart.
"How are you? It's been a long time, hasn't it?" His smile never faltered even with the gazes of the public his eyes never left me.
After he disappeared to oblivion, he had the audacity to say those words to me.
I laughed as I got my drink from the bartender, "Sure has been a long time since you disappeared." I sipped my drink and watched his smile falter.
He looked like a deer caught in headlights, I guess he didn't expect me to call him out like that.
"Lumi, look—"
Before he could even speak, I stopped him, "Don't. It's fine now Sunghoon. I'm fine now. Please, don't try to ruin me again."
