Do you know those days when you just wanted to run away? That was what I felt the moment you looked at me with your gorgeous hazel eyes, Pearl.

I wanted to leave, I wanted to run, I wanted to hide from your beautiful questioning eyes. I let the overwhelming emotions inside of me take over. I confessed.

I laid my heart and soul at your disposal and your silence was slowly stepping and dragging my heart through shards of glass.

A rush of thoughts came to my mind,

Did I make you uncomfortable?

Should I have not let the heat of the moment drag me into confessing my love to you?

What do you think of me now?

It was excruciating. Your silence was painful, Pearl.

However, as I looked at your mesmerizing eyes, I realized that I did the right thing. Even if you were silent, I knew I did the right thing. Because if I didn't say those words at that moment under the rain, I don't think I'd ever had the courage to do so.

You didn't give me an answer, but it was okay. It was fine.

Because I knew that at least I still have the chance. I promised to pursue you and that is what I did. And if I were to be honest, just seeing you smile when you are with me, mended my broken heart, Pearl.

A smile from you was what I ever needed. I was determined to keep that smile on your face for my entire lifetime.

Who would have thought that a walk in the rain would have such an impact on our story?

I gasped as I closed the book. The more I read, the more I remembered him.

My bet is that Jay has already read this book and he is definitely making fun of me. The subtle similarities between our story and this book were faint but I definitely noticed.

I'm sure Jay noticed as well.

And now he's using this book to try and make me remember our moments for me to start writing again. I sighed.

Park Jay, you evil genius.

He needed to push my emotions out of me and he saw this book as a way to kill two birds with one stone.

He'd have his book review and another published book worked like a true businessman, Jay.

I applaud you for that.

I caressed the words embedded cursive letters on the cover of the book. "A walk in the rain," I whispered, even just the thought brought so much emotion in me that I lose my breath saying a simple phrase. Not even a sentence, but a short phrase.

I chuckled bitterly as I remembered how I loved staying underneath the rain with him. Even when I fell sick the day after, I didn't mind. The feeling of the rain rushing down my body felt relaxing, washing away the worries of the past, present, and future.

And with his hand on mine, I forgot every negative thought I had.

I remembered how he took care of me every time I had a fever during those times. It made me want to get sick even more often. I was so in love with him.

I shook my head and wrote the notes I thought of after reading the book. I need to write these notes for me not to forget any details of the book. I write detailed reviews, I liked providing readers actual thoughts I had during my journey.

Whenever I read I book, I call it a journey.

Because it is.

Whether it be a journey to another world, or to a life of a character that could mirror or oppose your own. It is a journey.

I stood up from my desk and Sunoo greeted me, "You ready, ma'am?" He asked with his sweet smile.

One of the reasons why I accepted Sunoo as my assistant. He always seems to brighten the atmosphere. It's also why everyone in the company loved him.

"Let's go," I answered and he simply nodded.

We went ahead to a company meeting that Jay asked me to attend since he had an emergency to attend to. He didn't say what it was but he looked rushed so I simply said yes.

After the meeting, I felt exhausted as I sat in my chair.

I opened one of my drawers and saw the black book. I hesitantly opened it and continued reading.

I knew you.

From the things you liked to those you hate. Which foods you were allergic to and the foods that you blatantly hate. Your favorite food, color, artists, and even your favorite words.

But somehow, pursuing you made everything different. The added pressure made me feel as if I never knew you at all. It was as if I needed to get to know you again in a much different light.

To say that I felt anxious about showering you with my love, was an understatement. I wanted everything to be perfect, every gift, date, and letter had to be perfect.

Because they were for you, Pearl.

You laughed at me when you saw my hands trembling as I handed you a bouquet of your favorites.

As you did that, anxiety left my body.

That was my goal right there.

To make you so happy that you can't help but smile. A smile that's so genuine that I lose sight of your gorgeous eyes.

"Keep smiling, Pearl."

As I get immersed in the story, a knock on the door snapped me out of the trance.

"Ma'am," Sunoo's voice emerged from behind the door before he opened it slightly asking for permission to come in.

"Yes, Sunoo?" I motioned him to come in.

He entered with a bouquet of flowers. "Someone left this at the reception, ma'am." He slowly placed the flowers on my table and quickly bowed and left.

Primrose.

My favorite flower, primrose.

As I observed the bouquet, I saw a small card between the petals, I took the card and opened it up.

Primrose represent Eternal love,
I took notes,
Your favorites.
