The Troubled Two

Chapter 2 - The Beginning

"Thank god I got away from him" Melody mumbles as she opens her locker.

"Got away from who?" Sora asks as he taps her on the shoulder.

"Holy shit!" Melody screams. "You just scared the hell out of me. Not cool bruh not cool."

"I'm sorry hun." Sora apologizes. "May I walk you to class, beautiful?" He asks gesturing his hand.

"What did you just call me?" Melody asks taking his hand.

"Beautiful. Because I believe you're gorgeous. Like a perfect melody." Sora replies walking her to class.

They both had this class together. Sora always noticed her, but she never noticed him. Melody always had headphones in and was stuck in a book or working on a drawing. Sora admired her.

Melody blushed a little bit. "Thank you." She replies as she closes her locker.

Sora starts pulling her to their class.

"Um... Sora, you're hurting me..." Melody whimpers.

Melody quickly pulls her arm away and puts it in her pocket. Then begins to walk ahead of him.

"It's okay hun. I understand. I do it too." He says catching up to her.

By the time he catches up to her they are at their class. Melody walks to her desk in the far back corner of the class and Sora walks to his desk in the near front corner.

*A little less then an hour later the bell rings*

As Melody reaches her car she sees Sora about to walk home. "Sora!" She screams across the parking lot. Sora looks over and smiles.

"Oh look, the two most worthless people are friends." A blonde says to her other friend.

Melody growls as Sora reaches her. "Yes, beautiful?" Sora asks out of breath.

"I was gonna ask if you would like a ride home." Melody mumbles.

"Sure." He replies as he's admiring her car.

Melody drives a brand new Porche. It's black and on the hood it has the lyrics to Savior. On the side doors it has the BVB star printed on it. Her and her father fully rebuilt it. She customized herself with hee own money.

"Your car is amazing." Sora exclaims. "I love Black Veil Brides they are so inspiring."

Melody's eye light up. "Really?" She asks as she unlocking her car and getting in.

"Yeah, they are fantastic. I really want to meet Andy in person and thank him for saving me." Sora replies.

'He's so perfect' Melody thinks to herself. 'Wait I can feel? Damn I didn't know that.'

"Melody? Why are you staring at me?" Sora asks looking very confused.

"Oh.. Um... No reason." She quickly looks away and starts the car, blushing.

As they drive off she turns on the radio. The first few chords of Teenagers comes on.

"Oh my god! I love this song!" Sora exclaims and then directs her where to go as he's singing along.

They both begin singing and when the song ends the both laugh as they pull into his drive way.

"Hey Melody. Thank you." Sora says as he gets out of the car leaving a little piece of paper in the seat.

He shuts the door and walks inside.

(This is where they split.)

Sora's POV

"I'm home!" Sora screams, hearing nothing but his echo throughout the house. "Great no ones home."

He pulls his phone out of his pocket and notices he has a text message.

Hey Sora. Thanks for sticking you for me earlier today. I gotta go into work, but I'll text you after. -Mel

Sora smiles as his big brother walks through the door and gives him a dirty look.

"Who was that?" Kai asks.

"None of your damn business." As Sora says that he feels a slight sting on his face.

"You will not speak to me like that! Go to your room! Looks like no dinner for you!" Kai says with a stern tone as Sora is already up the stairs and bolting around the corner. Sora slams the door.

'I wish that Melody wasn't working, I'd sit here and talk to her instead. God I hate here.' Sora thinks to himself. Sora then walks down the stairs and out the front door unnoticed.

Melody's POV

'Ugh I hate having to work. But this weekend I can take a trip down to Hot Topic.' Melody thinks to herself, at that thought she smiles. Before she clocks in she checks her phone. She sees a text message.

Sora

Hey beautiful. Just wanted to say that if you want to hang out after you get done working then we can. And it wasn't a problem.

"At least now I have something to look forward to after work." She mumbles to herself. Melody then clocks in and begins working.

*About an hour later*

Sora's POV

As he walks into Burger King he sees a familiar face at the register.

"Hey I know you." He claims as he points at Melody.

She looks up and smiles and then goes back to what she was doing. 'I guess she's busy.' he thinks to himself. Sora then orders his food waves at Melody and smiles. Then walks out and head to the park. He sighs, "I guess I'm not that important. Not even Melody notices me." Sora says to himself.

Melody's POV

'I wonder where he was going. Sora is so cute, sweet, and kind. Can't forget smart. He's perfect. Too perfect for me. I probably have no chance with him.' Melody thinks to herself as she sighs. She continues working.

*Another 3 hours later*

Sora's POV

The first four chords of You Only Live Once starts playing.

"Yes?" Sora asks as he answers his phone with a huge smile across his face.

"I just got off of work. Where are you?" A voice blares out of the phone speaker.

"The park. I shouldn't be hard to find beautiful." Sora replies

Melody's POV

As Melody parks she sees that someone us standing in front of Sora. The person seems to be yelling at him.

"Hey! Stop yelling at Sora!" Melody screams. She rushes to where Sora is and sees him on the ground hurt. "Sora, are you okay?" Melody asks in a worried tone.

"Who is this, Sora? Your girlfriend?" Kai asks Sora.

"No. It's my friend Melody. So back off." Sora replies with a stern echo in his voice as he stands using Melody as a crutch.

"Well it doesn't matter. I came here to tell you that this was your last strike. You're gone. Find somewhere else to live." Kai says as he throws a bag in Sora's direction and walks off.

Sora sighs. "Now I have no where to go."

That's the end of this chapter. And that shows why Sora tends to stay away from other people. He's afraid. I forgot to mention in his intro that his brother abuses him. And here soon you'll find out how Melody's home life is.
