The Troubled Two

Chapter 4 - The Answer

"I honestly don't know what to say." Melody replies in shock. As she says that her sister is standing at the doorway.

"Why would you want someone as useless as this piece of shit?" Serinity asks with a huge smirk on her face. When she says that Sora jumps up, his face bright red and his eyes are dark, navy blue.

"Shut up you bitch! All you have done since I got here has been put her down and laugh at her. I'm sick of it. Melody Rayne is beautiful. Her personality is amazingly out of this world. I feel sorry for whoever happens to call a bitch like you their friend. I wouldn't trust you for the world. Haven't you heard of the phrase 'Don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all', hm?" Sora retorts. At this point Melody is staring at him in awe.

"Yeah I have. I just don't feel like that slut over deserves to be treated as a person. For all I give a fuck she can go kill herself and I wouldn't shed a tear. Instead I throw a party. She's the reason my father is gone. So she should go off some fucking where and leave this family. We obviously don't want her here." Serenity snaps back and walks to her room. Melody is now in tears mumbling to herself.

"It is my fault he's gone. Always has been." She mumbles as she reaches for ger blade. Forgetting that Sora was in the room she touches it to her skin. Then Sora reaches over lifts her arm over to his wrist.

"You cut yourself, you're cutting me." He states as tears are rolling down his face. His eyes went from a dark, navy blue to a bright, baby blue. Melody's eyes are a bright honey color with a bright blue sunburst kinda thing around her pupil. Melody then gets up and runs into the bathroom and locks the door.

Sora's POV

I dart to the bathroom and bang on the door. "Melody!" I scream with tears running down my face. Something shiny catches my eye on her bedroom floor. I walk over to get and realize its her blade. I sigh in relief. Then I put my headphones in and lay on her bed. I'm blasting Baby Don't Cut by B-Mike.  As I lay there I think of her. How precious she is to me. How I've wanted to get to know her since school started and was too afraid to walk up and talk to her. How her beauty sticks out and her smile. Oh, her beautiful bright smile, always lights up my day. And her eyes. Where she hides all her pain. Her eyes are so beautiful, I just love the sparkle in them. Granted it's small and dull, but it's there. I just want to hear her laugh. I'm postive it'll be like a soothing lullaby. I love her so much, but I'm so afraid of fucking up and losing  her.

Melody's POV

I can't believe Sora defended me and said such amazing things about me. He's done so much and I just recently met him. I get so lost in his amazing blue eyes I lose my words. His smile makes me smile. Something I thought I would never do again. He's so perfect. So flawless. His voice is so soothing. I want to say yes to him. But I'm so afraid I'll hurt him as I have my father. I'm so scared I'll lose him. He deserves an answer.

Melody then walks out of the bathroom and walks over to Sora, whos asleep on her bed, and she kisses him softly on the forhead and curls up next to him. She pulls out one of headphones and whispers in his ear, "Yes, Sora. I'll be your girlfriend." As she says that he smiles and puts his arm around her.

Melody then slides quickly and quietly out from under his arm leaving him asleep and goes and gets his bag out of her car and brings it into her room, then grabs pajamas and walks to the bathroom.

~Approximately 30 to 40 minutes later~

Melody wakes Sora with a kiss.
"What's going on?" Sora pops up startled and drowsy. Melody giggles a cute little giggle. Sora scratches his head. "What'd I do?"

"Nothing babe. It's just before you go to bed you need to get a shower so we don't have to take time in the morning. Plus, I don't want your dirty feet in my clean bed." She replies with a playful smile on her face.

"Fine. Where's my bag?" Sora asks. Melody picks it up and puts it next to him then lays down. Sora sorts through his bag and grabs what he needs and walks to the bathroom, but before he shuts the door Melody throws a towel at him and picks up her phone. Sora smiles and closes the door. Melody then turns on her speakers and plugs her phone into it and plays Stay by Mayday Parade. Melody lays down after moving Sora's bag into her closet.

~Approximately 20 to 30 minutes later~

Sora walks out and sees Melody asleep, but had a trail of tears down her face with her sleeve up and something carved in her arm. "Baby, no." Sora whispers under his breathe. There's tears running down his face. He looks at her wrist and read whats there. 'I miss you daddy' is carved on her wrist with a heart beside it. Sora noticed that the scars are fresh. He can't help it and cries even more and starts counting the marks that were mad. He kisses her on he forehead and picks up her razor and walks back into the bathroom.

~5 minutes later~

Sora walks out and sees Melody crying.

"I know what you did already. My razor was missing from beside me. And you seen them." Melody says with a tone of regret.

Sora doesn't say a word and walks over to her and holds his hand out. Melody give him her wrist and Sora kisses her scars.

"Baby, please I beg you. Stop. I want you in the world with me." Sora says with sadness in his tone. He picks up her phone and starts playing Second and Sebring by Of Mice & Men. Sora then lays down and looks at her motioning for her to lay down. Melody does as she was asked and starts crying in his chest. "I miss him so much." She says as she buries her head deeper in his chest. After a good five minutes of her crying Sora notices her breathing slow a little and her calm down. He kisses her head and whispers in her ear, "Goodnight baby. I still think you're beautiful." He then closes his eyes and focuses on the music and he realizes the song changed to Hold On To Me by Mayday Parade and he holds her tighter and drifts off to sleep.
