Chapter 6 - The Dream

Sora's POV

As I sit there in the waiting room with my headphones in listening to Baby Don't Cut by B-Mike on repeat, I think why would she do this to herself. She's so gorgeous and perfect. Only reason they bully her is because they are jealous of her. She's so amazing. I wish she could just see that for herself. Please baby be okay. I need you.

Melody's POV

Dreaming

As I wake up I smell the ocean. I hear the waves crashing against the shore line. The sun shining bright. I open my eyes and see that I'm on a beach. I look down and see that I'm in a two piece black bathing suit that has a red Black Veil Brides logo on both pieces. I can see all of my scars and I begin to feel very uncomfortable. When I look up I see someone walking my way. I quickly grab a towel and wrap it around myself. Then I hear a familiar voice say, "Hey baby. What'd you cover up for?".
I see who it was and smile. I then take the towel off and look at him. I see that his hair is damp and messy and he's hiding something behind his back.
"What is that, love?" I ask, looking curious. "Oh nothing" Sora says smiling. As Melody gets up Sora gets down on one knee.
"Melody Rayne Black, I love you with my body, heart, and soul to death. Without you I wouldn't be here right now. Sweetheart we have been together for three years. I loved you the moment I first saw you in Chemistry class our freshman year. Baby, you're my savior, my best friend, my love, my everything. Now I wanna add something else to that list. If that's okay with you. Melody, will you marry me?" Sora says while pulling out a ring box and opening it. The ring is gold with a black gem in the center it has a blue zirconane on the right and an emerald on the left. Their names are engraved next to their birthstones and on the inside of the ring the date they got together (2/20/2014) is engraved. Melody looks into his eyes then looks at ring and then back at his. Tears start forming in her eyes. As the tears flow down her face she is shaking her head yes. Sora jumps up and lifts her spinning her around. "Melody, I love you." Sora whispers in her ear.

I then wake up right before the dream ends. I feel dried tears on my face smile.

"Oh good you're awake." A nurse says as she's leaving the room. Then I notice Sora sitting in the corner asleep. I smile. He's so precious to me. Then I look down at my wrist. I see very deep cuts. Deeper then the rest. I look up at Sora and back down at my wrist and start crying. Sora, I'm so sorry. I love you so much. Then I feel arms around me.

"Sora?" I ask as I look back and see no one behind me. "Daddy." I say as I start to cry even more.

"Baby, talk to me what's wrong?" Sora asks as he wakes up.

"I failed you... and my dad..." Melody answers in between sobs.
