Abused by my dad

Chapter fourty four

*Adelyn's POV*

Im stressing out I can't tell my mom that dad is in jail. I just can't but I need to because I can't let them get hurt and im afraid that he will hurt or kill Charlotte because she's not his child. But have you ever heard the expression people do change? Well I don't think its true. If it is then that means my dad just doesn't change.

Here goes nothing..... "Mom, I need to tell you something" I say. "Ok im listening honey what's up?" she says. "Dad tryed killing me but I hid and I called the cops on him and now he escaped and he's out to get me and probably you too and maybe Charlotte and I wanted to run away because I need to keep you and her safe." I say out of breath. "He was in jail?! Thank god I don't like him he is stupid and is a jerk. But thanks for looking out for me and Charlotte." she says hugging me. "Where is Charlotte?" I ask. "Oh she's in her room sleeping." She says. "Can I see her?" I ask. "You sure can." She says I smile and follow her. My phone buzzed I had sevrel messages.

Two from Michael which one said Hi and the other one was really long and then I had one from a unknown number. "Hey brat I just wanted to say that I have been working with your dad this whole time I helped him escape and now were out to kill you and your family I love your dad even more then I should sorry but if we kill you and your mom then I can have him but if I kill you then I can have Michael too, isn't life great?
