Chapter twenty four

*Adelyn's POV*

I wake to see a white room am I dead? I try to get up but my ribs hurt. "Oww!" I yell in pain. I look down to see a IV in my arm and I'm hooked up to a bunch of machines. I hear Michael say my name but I fell into a deep sleep.

      I wake up once again but this time it's all white and I see my grandpa and grandma. "Adelyn?" I hear my grandpa yell. "Am I dead?!" I say. "Well if you want to be...your choice" He says. I think for a while do I want to be dead? I have Michael and all my friends but I really want to be with my grandparents and I don't want to get abused but I'm only 16 and I want to live... "I made my choice I want to stay!" I say. "Ok follow me." My grandma says. I follow her we say our goodbyes and I go back to the hospital.
*Michael's POV during Adelyn's "death"*
I saw Adelyn open her eyes for a few minutes and then she closed them. I slumped back in my chair and I stared at the ceiling. Then I see nurses rush in. "What's going on?!" I say. "Adelyn's heartbeat stopped...." He says. "If it is still stopped for 10 more minutes we will have to pull the plug." He says and walks out. I walk over to Adelyn. I cry. " Adelyn I love you so much I don't want to loose you. Your dad is so stupid.. Why would he do this? I don't know please stay strong." I say to her lifeless body. Then I sit back down. Them I hear the monitor beating again. I look up to see Adelyn's eyes open I smile "hey!" I say smiling. "Hey" she says weekly. "What happend where's my dad?" She sounds worried. "Well your dad was kicking and punching you but Natalie called you and someone answered it and she heard your screams and your crying and then she called me then I called the hospital And when the ambulance got their your dad was gone and you were passed out. Luckily they came when they did. And your dad... I don't know where he is but they let me in the ambulance with you." I say. "Oh" Is all she could say. Will this ever stop?
