Chapter Eighteen

*Adelyn's POV*
I wake up the next morning. And I hear my dad's voice. "Adelyn... Adelyn.." I hear. I open my door no one... Bathroom? No one. I must be hallucinating. I get ready for school.. Last week was a horrible week. Michael says he hates me and my dad might not make it. When I arrive to school I see Michael. "Hi Michael!" I yell. Everybody gasps. What? "Hi!" He yells back. I go up to him and told him that I will tell him my secret at 4th period.

Also that my dad is in the hospital and might not make it.

"I'm so sorry" he says.

But then the 1st bell rings telling us that we have to get to class or get detention.

I'm heading to math when I see Lukas. "Hi Lukas!" I say. "Hey.. Adelyn? Right?" He says. "Yup." I say. "You got math too?" He asks. "Yeah" I say. Lukas is one of those kids who loves math and homework. "Great!" He says and when I walk in the bell rings. I turn around to see no Lukas. "Lukas?!" I yell. I look around the corner to see Lukas on the floor with all his books all around him. Woah what happend here..... "It's no big deal Adelyn I fell." He says. "Okay" I say. But still not believing him. I walk in to math and the teacher looks up. "Don't be late again!" Mr.Pollack says. "Since this is your first time I'm going to let it slide!" Mr.Pollack. I thought he was talking to me but turns out he was talking to Lukas. Oh great. I kinda made him late.... I look around to see Natalie. I wave to her she waves back to me. I walk to my desk and Lukas goes his way.
Yay! Math... Not....
It's the fourth period and I'm getting ready to tell Michael... "Hey.. Can you tell me your secret now?" He asks. Uhh yeah. "Igetabusedbymydad." I say. "What?" He asks. " I get abused by my dadd" I say slowly. "Oh" he says. "I'm so sorry" he says. "You shouldn't be" I say. "Who all knows?" He asks. "You,Natalie,Emma and Eli" I say. Then he just said ok. Time for Art.
