Chapter 5

A/N. So I just wanted to inform you that the story is now in Tiffany's POV, but it will be changing as time goes by.

Tiffany's POV

**-{Sixteen years later}-**

Today marks sixteen years since my mom gave birth to me. Sixteen years of laughter, new friendship, opportunity, and happiness. As I was seated getting ready for my birthday party, I heard a knock on my bedroom door, before I could even tell the person who was knocking to come in, the door clicked open revealing my mom.

"Tiffany sweetheart people... wow, you look beautiful." mom said, whilst coming towards me with her arms open.

Glancing in the mirror one last time, I stood up from where I was sitting, opening my arms, and I gave my mom a hug.

"Thanks, mom," I told her.

She held me so tight as if she were afraid of losing me, "Oh sweetie, I can't believe that you're all grown. It feels like yesterday when you came into this world, and now it seems like you're slowly slipping away from your father and me," she said, wiping away a tear that threatened to fall.

She came to see if I was done with what I was doing and to inform me that people were waiting for me. I am always meeting different people on set and on the streets, but for some reason I was starting to feel nervous, I didn't know what was waiting for me downstairs. I informed my mom that I was done, we proceeded downstairs together.

As we were walking down the stairs, I saw dad, my grandparents from both sides of the family, my friends, and people from the TV series. Some affluent people my parents do business with came, as well as our neighbors.

Every eye was on me as I walked through different tables. Greeting people here and there, I finally reached a table which was situated on the front, right next to the huge pink cake with a big sixteen written on it. It's so typical of my parents to buy a pink cake on my birthday just because I'm a girl, they actually don't know that my favorite color is purple, or they just pretend not to know, but in all honesty the cake was very appealing to my eyes and I couldn't help but salivating on thought of getting a piece.

We had a great time, we ate, we danced until it was time for me to cut the cake. Everyone stood from where they were seated, and they began to sing a song which has become a traditional thing to do every birthday, this is the only song that has stood the test of time, and it makes me wonder who came up with the tradition. When everyone stopped singing the happy birthday song and after making a wish and blowing the candles, I started cutting the cake and giving it to those dear to me and when I was done and everyone had a piece. We continued with our celebration which no doubt was going to end up on all social media platforms.

My Dad walked towards my table with a box in his hands, "Have got something for you," my dad said with a smile on his face.

"Oh, really?" I said excitedly.

"Here, open it."

Immediately the black and white box landed in my hands, I opened it eager to see what's inside. When I managed to remove the top part, my eyes landed on a beautiful gold necklace with my initials TJ on it. "Thank you, Dad," I said, throwing my hands on his shoulders. He asked me to turn around, and he proceeded to put it on my neck. I was glad that I didn't have to lift my hair up because it was already in a bun.

"It looks good on you," he said.

"Thanks, Dad," I told him once again.

Then he asked me to have a dance with him, which I gladly accepted. We started dancing for a few minutes, I didn't even notice that everyone's eyes were on us. When we stopped, everyone clapped for us. I was so thrilled, I don't think I will ever forget my sixteenth birthday party, all thanks to my parents and everyone else here who made this moment memorable.

It was now late and people started going back to their homes until there was no one left except for my parents and me. It was now 9:34 pm, and I was tired. After opening some gifts my friends and family gave me, I said goodnight to mom and dad then I went upstairs to my room. I took off my clothes and slipped into my pj's, and I decided to call it a day.

A hash knock on the door woke me up,"come in," I told the person behind the door before yawning. The door opened, then Lauren walked in, she came to inform me that my best friend Kimberly was waiting for me in the living room. I was partially upset that she woke me up this early, then it clicked.

"Oh my God!" I screamed, realizing that I had forgotten that today Kimberly and I were supposed to go out shopping.

Lauren slightly jumped holding her chest "What's wrong?" Lauren asked, trying to compose herself from the fright I just gave her. She furrowed a brow as if trying to ask why I just screamed.

"Kimberly and I are supposed to go and buy our school stuff today, we intended to go at 09:00 AM, and it's now," I turned to look at the watch and I almost fainted, I internally thank Lauren for working me up, "10:20AM, tell her that I will be down in a few," I informed her.

"Okay," she said, then she left immediately.

Carlos opened the door for us, I entered first, then Kimberly, "Where are you girls going?" Carlos asked. I informed Carlos that our destination was a mall down the street, he nodded, then he started the car and drove us to our location.

"So where is your bodyguard? because I haven't seen him around you today," Kim asked me before we got out of the car.

"He sent a text to my dad the other day, saying that he wasn't feeling well."

"I feel bad for him, hope he gets better," Kim said.

"Yeah I hope so, you know what? I actually feel free." I slightly smiled and turned in my seat to look at my friend. When I looked at her face, she looked bemused and shocked at what I just said. "I feel bad for him, don't get me wrong, but it feels good to walk around without someone following you behind." I explained my reasons.

"You're right, I kind of understand where you're coming from, sometimes I feel embarrassed to talk to you about girl stuff you know because he's always around. But hey, that's what you get for being friends with a celebrity."

We both laughed at her last statement. Both Kim and I got out of the car, when we were about to enter the main entrance of the mall, I saw a young girl who's about my age, with blonde hair and green eyes. Her eyes were hard to forget from how the color pops up. She was coming at full speed towards me shouting my name, before I could even process what was happening, I found myself on the ground with her on top of me. It's currently that I miss having my bodyguard around, scratch the freedom thing I just matured a few minutes ago.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to tackle you to the ground," the girl said.

I didn't even reply, Carlos came and helped me up without a glance at the girl, we got in the car, and he drove us out of the parking lot quickly. I was still in shock from the incident that just took place a few minutes ago.
