Chapter 11

Jasmine pov:

I woke up feeling happy. I couldn't believe that I was friends with a celebrity, it's not every time that you get to meet popular people or let alone be friends, like that's not enough she even invited me to her house, while technically it's Ivan and I. And the reason we are going to her house is to do the science project but it still feels good. And the best part is that we are going in the limousine, I have never been in a limo before so I am looking forward to it. I took a shower and then put on my clothes, I hurried downstairs to the kitchen and I grabbed a box of cereal and made myself breakfast. When I was done eating I said goodbye to my mother friends Rita and Cedric, my parents sent me here to stay with them because of my school but they will soon be moving here as well. I trekked all the way to school, it took me thirty minutes to get there, I was a bit tired so I found myself somewhere to sit while waiting for Ivan and TJ. We agreed to meet here because we didn't know where Tiffany lives and she didn't know where we live either.

Five minutes later I saw a red Benz pull over and then Ivan came out. He said bye to a woman with short brown hair, who I assume is his mother. She waved at me with a smile and I waved back, Ivan came straight to where I was sitting and he sat down next to me.

"Hi," He greeted me.

"Hi," said back. "Was that your mom?" I asked, pointing at where the car was parked.

"Yeah she's my mom"

"She seems like a good person"

"Yeah she is"

A few minutes later a black SUV parked in front of us. A young man came out and he opened the door for Tiffany. He was good looking. I couldn't stop staring at him, we walked over to the car and we started shaking hands with TJ.

"Hey TJ you didn't tell me you have a handsome driver?" I said.

They all chuckled. Tiffany looked a little embarrassed by my question, she got in the car without saying anything, Ivan followed suit and I also did the same. The engine started running and before I knew it the school was out of sight.

"So what's your name?" I asked him.

"Elijah"

"Uh Eli this is the part where you get to ask me what my name is, anyway I'll just say it is Jasmine" Tiffany and Ivan both looked at me but I ignored them."So are you dating someone or you're single like me?"

"Jasmine!!" Tiffany called my name.

"What!" I asked her.

"Can't you see you are making him uncomfortable" she said.

"Okay can I ask him one more question please," I said please in a singing voice and I did my puppy eyes for her but she just rolled her eyes. I will take that as a yes. "One more thing Eli you look young do you go to school?"

"To answer your questions Jasmine, yes i'm single and no I don't go to school I graduated last year and can you please stop calling me Eli." he said, and I smiled at his reply now knowing that he is single.

When we arrived at this beautiful mansion, the house was huge. When we entered through the Iron gate, my jaw dropped. This place is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I am used to being in a regular neighborhood, seeing small houses. Have never been in a rich neighborhood before, so all of this was new to me. From the corner of my eyes I could see Ivan also looking at the place in astonishment. We passed through the road with palm trees on both sides, in front of the house there was a huge statue of a man and a woman with a little girl holding their hands and water coming out from the floor where the statue was standing. Eli-that's what I will be calling him from now only wards even if he doesn't like it - He parked the car in front of the house, we all got out and that's when I saw it, the limo, the car she said she will pick us up with.

"TJ I forgot to ask you this earlier, isn't that the car you said you will pick us up with." I said pointing at the limo. "Do you know I told my friends that I was going in the limo with you to your house? And only for you to come with another car."

"You wouldn't have forgotten if you didn't pay all your attention to Elijah." She teased me. "It's not my fault that you told all your friends that I was going to pick you up in the limo and the reason I didn't is because my parents are using it." She said,

We passed through the glass door and a woman who looked like she's in her late thirties came towards us. She hugged TJ and she whispered something in her ear and TJ did the same then she looked at us and released her from the huge.

"Hi, I'm Mrs Jones but you can call me Carla? She introduced herself.

"I'm Jasmine Edwards."

"And I am Ivan Hathaway."

"Hathaway Mmm your last name sounds familiar, where did I hear it from?" She said, still thinking about the name.

"Maybe you heard it from one of your clients at work that's why it sounds so familiar," A man with dark hair and with a little bit of gray in it said.

"Yeah I guess you're right," she said. "Nice to meet you Jasmine and Ivan, make yourselves comfortable. Tiffany will be coming late tonight so don't wait for us."

"Okay" TJ said and they both left.

We went upstairs in her bedroom and her room is twice our living room back home in California where am from. I sat down on the chair next to the desk and TJ and Ivan sat on the bed. We spent the whole day doing our project, it was now 8pm, we said bye to Tiffany and another driver took us back home. It's sad cos I was hoping for Eli to take us home but he knocked off at 6pm so someone did.
