I left my Geography lesson earlier than usual and decided to grab my special bench near the playing field. As I sat down, Mr Charming was right across the school grounds. I had a perfect view of Ethan and he looked amazingly handsome. He was dressed in his black school trousers with his shirt unbuttoned slightly and his cheeks were rosy red, like a cute baby who had just woken up.
Although he looked like a cute boy, he still carried himself like a handsome confident young man which I admired. Whilst he was standing looking so exquisite, two beautiful girls walked over to him. A strong pang of jealousy whizzed up my throat. Both of the girls were being quite flirtatious with him and they looked like the most perfect looking and perfectly dressed girls at the school.
One of the girls was called Kayleigh. Kayleigh was beautiful with long dark brown hair and hazel green eyes. She had ruby red lips and she looked like a model. Everyone loved her.
She was half English and half Iranian and she was beautiful, clever, confident and just generally a very nice and kind girl. She was also a top student. She was in the top sets for almost all her subjects. Could anyone get any more perfect than Kayleigh? I thought to myself.
Her friend Alicia was also pretty, confident, smiley and seemed like a kind person. She had long raven hair and tanned skin with hazel brown eyes. Alicia was half Brazilian and half Ghanaian and she was a true beauty.
I truly wished I could hang out with them. It was so interesting to find other people who were from mixed cultures like me. They were confident, pretty, perfect and popular. They looked like they had the perfect friendship and everyone liked them. I hoped one day I could be popular and as well liked as they were.
Soph texted me just at the moment and told me that she was heading outside and wondered if I wanted to meet for lunch. I was dying to talk to her and I agreed to meet her straight away.
We joined the queue for the canteen. My stomach was rumbling loudly and I felt like there was a big empty hole crying for food. I also felt relieved that Soph was near me. After all the strange happenings lately, I really needed to talk to her about what had been happening. We stood together in the lunch queue and it moved quite fast. Within a few minutes, we were inside the canteen hall getting closer to the food counter.
Just as we reached the food counter, I told Soph that I needed to talk to her. 'Soph, I'm so glad that we have met, so many strange things have happened in the last few days,' I said nervously.
'Olivia, me too! I don't mean to go on about those whiteboard pens but I have literally moved so many objects around with the power of my mind Liv, honestly I have!' she said with a very honest expression. 'Sometimes all I do is concentrate and the object just moves to another place.' Soph seemed like she needed to explain a lot of things to me. We grabbed our food from the counter and then headed towards the tables to sit down to eat. 'Let's grab those seats over there, Soph,' I said.
We sat down at one of the furthest tables near the back of the hall. It was nice and quiet there. 'So what's been happening Soph?' I asked inquisitively. 'Olivia, listen to this, another mind power incident. Basically, I was concentrating on a pile of papers that were sitting on my study table in my bedroom hoping that they would come over to me and within a few seconds suddenly they just lifted into the air and flew over to me. It was truly extraordinary!' Soph said very excitedly.
'Wow that's so strange and all you did was concentrate on the papers? I wonder how they lifted into the air?' I asked looking perplexed. 'Olivia, I'm being totally honest. All I did was concentrate on the papers and then whooosh they just lifted in to the air,' she repeated. 'I couldn't believe what was happening to be honest, so I tested it again.
