I came out of my first lesson of the day. The air was cool and breezy. I decided to grab a drink from the school canteen. As I passed the wall on the way to the canteen, I saw a large poster advertising an event. I was intrigued. The poster was multicolored with photos of students posing on the catwalk.
It was big and glossy and stood out brightly. On the poster it highlighted that it was 'The Charity Fashion Show', Lowland High's biggest event of the year. The poster asked for all students who wished to take part to 'attend auditions' and that groups of up to five would be allowed to walk the catwalk together.
The photos looked amazing with previous students dressed up and looking dazzling. I just kept imagining myself on stage for the first time in front of everyone at Lowlands. Would I get more attention from guys after being on stage? Actually, I didn't really want attention from all guys but it would be amazing if Ethan saw me up on stage! Maybe he would talk to me if he saw how wonderful I looked on stage?
Well at least he would notice me more and maybe make a move on me if he liked me. It would be a great way to get noticed and maybe more girls would try and make friends with me. All these thoughts just kept running through my head and I was adamant that I had to go to this event.
This would be the first Lowland's social event of the year and I felt so excited but also nervous at the same time. And as it was my first social event at Lowlands High, I could not miss it for the world. It was poster mania today and everyone kept gathering around this large poster outside. I moved away so other students could look at it.
Just nearby, I saw Kayleigh and Alicia walking into the school grounds giggling and looking perfect. They were dressed nicely and their teeth glistened from afar. They looked perfect as ever. Both of them walked over to the poster and smiled. Next to the poster were some coloured leaflets about the Charity Show event and they took one each.
Soon after Ethan walked into the school grounds looking handsome as ever. He looked like a handsome prince that could break many hearts but he wasn't the type to break hearts, he was just too kind and nice.
Kayleigh and Alicia walked over to Ethan and began talking to him. They had the leaflets about the charity show in their hands and opened them and started talking to him about the event. Ethan nodded and looked like he was cracking jokes.
Kayleigh and Alicia were laughing a lot. Deep inside I wished I could go to the fashion show with them. I kept imagining having a great night with them. It would be so great to be part of a popular group of friends like them.
I wanted a drink desperately and decided to walk over to the canteen. As I started walking towards the canteen, I noticed Ethan walking away from Kayleigh and Alicia. I looked over my shoulder again and suddenly he was walking in my direction and getting closer by the minute.
I became so happy. A rush of excitement fluttered through my body. As I looked back, I could see him walking closer to me and he looked suave and gorgeous. Butterflies were consuming my stomach! All these tingly feelings were making me want to desire Ethan even more than I already had. I had to get his attention and this was a chance for me to make sure he could remember me.
I flicked my hair like a shampoo advert. I don't know what came over me at that point but I just reacted to how I felt at that moment. Ethan began walking past me slowly and this was my chance to get his attention! I immediately dropped my wallet pretending it was a mistake. Suddenly Ethan picked up my wallet and handed it to me.
I felt his warm soft hand on my wallet as he gave it to me. I felt blessed to have touched him. As he passed me the wallet he said 'So how are you doing?'
I became so confused. He spoke to me like we had known each other for a long time. 'Sorry, what do you mean?' I asked nervously. 'You're new here aren't you?' asked Ethan. 'Oh yes I am, I started a few weeks ago,' I said after realizing what he was referring to.
'Yes I've seen you around. So how's school going?' 'It's going quite well. I'm so glad I moved here,' I said smiling and lying through my teeth. My heart was beating at an abnormal speed. 'That's great. Welcome to Lowlands,' he replied and then carried on walking. I was blushing.
I just kept thinking to myself that I actually spoke to him and he recognized me as being a new student. Life felt so grand for the rest of the day.
The school day went by quickly. As soon as I arrived home after school, I went straight into the kitchen to make a drink. I texted Sophia that I had arrived home and that I wanted to speak to her about something important. I went and sat in the living room and waited for Sophia to arrive home.
Whilst I waited and I sipped my drink, I kept thinking about Ethan. I was just so happy that I had spoken to him and that he recognized who I was. This meant he had noticed me before. It just felt amazing!! This conversation also meant that it had opened up the opportunity for me to speak to him again. I couldn't help daydreaming about our next conversation.
Sophia arrived home and walked into the living room. 'Hello daydreamer, what was this amazingly important thing that you wanted to speak to me about?' I immediately told Sophia that I had seen a Crystal Ball reader in Harrow town centre. Sophia burst out laughing and said 'Did she say anything interesting about your future and what was her crystal ball like?'
'The crystal ball was gorgeous and sparkly but more importantly the things that she told me were shocking.' Oh yes, please tell me,' said Sophia excitedly.
'The crystal ball reader is called Martha. She was such a lovely woman and she confirmed that I have clairvoyant powers and most importantly that I am a Seer,' I told Sophia. 'Does Seer mean you can see into the future?' asked Sophia.
'Yes you are absolutely correct Soph. A Seer is someone who can see into the future. From what I understood they are actually more powerful than clairvoyants,' I told Soph.
'However, I still need to practise my clairvoyant skills but this is apparently something that just needs to be awakened within me.' 'Sounds amazing, Olivia,' said Sophia wide-eyed.
'Apparently all these bad dreams I am having are being sent by the Universe to awaken me into becoming a Seer.' Sophia looked astounded. 'Did Martha say anything about my miraculous power of lifting objects?' laughed Sophia.
I nodded and said 'Yes Soph apparently you have telekinesis which is a mental power of being able to lift objects and apparently we are both being awakened to our powers but she couldn't give me any more information on you because she said it's confidential and that you'd have to visit her. She asked me to bring you next time I visit,' I said.
'I'll definitely come next time,' said Soph looking excited.
'What Martha explained was that a Seer is from the Planet of Seers, which is a spiritual planet in the Universe. Martha explained that any Soul from the Planet of Seers is sent to Earth on a mission to do good in the world,' I told Sophia.
'After discussing everything with Martha, I honestly believe that all my bad dreams and the fact that I am from the Planet of Seers means I am here on a mission. I am starting to believe that part of my mission is to help stop the bullying going in school,' I told Sophia.
'Olivia I totally agree with you. In fact, with my power of telekinesis, I believe we can work together to stop all this bullying.' I nodded
'Absolutely Soph.' 'Olivia I am very thankful that you went to see Martha and I feel very grateful that we both have these incredible powers. I can't wait to meet Martha,' said Soph with a huge smile on her face.
'Soph did you see the poster about the charity fashion show?' 'Yes, I did. I think we should go, it'll be lots of fun!' 'I think we should take to the stage together. What do you think?'
'I definitely think we should do that and then everyone will know we're sisters too. It would be a great way to introduce ourselves to the school. We should organise time soon to pick some outfits,' said Soph. 'I can't wait,' I said with a big smile and sipped the rest of my drink.
