After my Graphic design class, I went into the school grounds and walked over to my bench. The air smelt fresh and the sun was peeking through the clouds. I saw Grace walking far ahead and she was smiling and looking lovely. As our eyes caught each other, Grace started to walk towards me.
'Hey Liv, how is everything going? How are you finding school?' Grace asked. Grace was always polite and mature towards everyone. 'Well to be honest, school has been really tough,' I told Grace. I didn't want to lie because she could probably read the emotions all over my face. I didn't look the happiest person when she asked me.
'Oh, so why has it been tough?' Grace looked worried but she looked sincere when she asked me.
'Well to be honest, no one has been friendly towards me since I have arrived. The class sizes are massive and everyone seems competitive and completely out for themselves.' Everything I was feeling just blurted out of my mouth. I couldn't stop the way I was feeling. 'Aww don't worry, it will get better. It's still very early days,' said Grace trying to comfort me.
'Listen, I came over to remind you about my dinner party on Saturday. Please come, it will be great to see you!' Grace had a big smile on her face when she reminded me about the dinner party. She seemed genuinely excited for me to come. 'I will definitely be there and I truly can't wait,' I said returning the smile.
The school day went by really quickly. After school I decided to go into Harrow town centre to visit some shops and get a few things for myself. After visiting a few shops and picking up a few things, I decided to walk towards the bus stop to catch the bus home. On my way to the bus stop, I saw a big red and white shop that said 'The Crystal Ball Shop'.
All the times I had come to the town centre, I had never seen this shop before. The windows had vertical pleated white blinds that were shut so I couldn't look into the shop. Above the shop was another sign that said 'Forty years of Clairvoyance'.
For some reason this sign intrigued me a lot. I wanted to find out more. After everything that had happened to me with my bad dreams coming true and Sophia lifting objects, I felt like I needed to speak to someone who could give me some spiritual insight.
I walked closer to the shop and the windows had some gold decorations at the top. On the window it had a phone number for booking appointments for clairvoyance, tarot card readings, crystal ball readings, general spiritual counselling and mediumship readings.
It also said that walk in appointments were available if you asked at the reception desk. I became more and more intrigued by the shop. I really wanted to go in but kept worrying that someone from school might see me and start thinking I am weird. I knew if anyone did see me, I would immediately become an outcast at school and at the centre of school gossip.
I still had a strange feeling that I needed to walk into the shop to find out more. I decided to go into the shop but I took one quick look over my shoulder to double check no one was watching.
I opened the door to the shop and the door made a chiming bell sound. The walls were a deep red with framed photos of crystal balls and tarot cards all over the walls. There was a waiting area in the corner and there was dark red sofa with magazines. The reception desk was completely free and so I decided to go over and speak to the receptionist.
'Hello, how are you doing? I haven't seen you before. Welcome,' said the very slim and smiley receptionist. 'Yes, I was just walking past and was intrigued to find out more,' I said politely. 'Well, that's great. We do a variety of readings here. What sort of reading would you like?'
She handed me a leaflet with all the readings available. 'To be honest I would really like a general talk with the Crystal Ball reader as I am not sure specifically what kind of reading to choose at this point,' I said. 'Sure. Our Crystal Ball reader is Martha. I will book you in for a general Spiritual Counselling session and you can decide if you want any further services.
