(Y/n) POV
"Knowing the Goodwins, there are going to try and wipe us out in separate duels. Depending on what happens, we may need to go up against the clones of myself. If we can I want to avoid causing harm to them and find a way to get them back to their families" I said, trying to get a plan into place. The glowing of everyone's marks have died down and it was much like the calm before the storm. Everything was peaceful and it was like the events prior never happened.
"Our Duel Dragons are also going to play a major role so make sure they're in our decks...Yusei that means I'll be needing (F/d) back now" I added, extending my hand out. He gave a playful smirk and handed it back over.
"Since we'll be dealing with at least 3 different duelists, I think it's best if we split into three teams. Jack and the twins will be together, Akiza and Crow, then (Y/n) and I. Our decks fit better with those match-ups and they should give us an advantage" Yusei claimed, taking the lead.
"And whatever you do, don't lose. We've seen what happens in the normal duels but they are probably going to play dirty so there are no second chances here. If you mess up it's game over" I said, a little more serious than what I meant as everyone flinched. Man...I really have no control over my emotions anymore...oops!
"For now, get so rest. Who knows when we'll have the chance to relax again" I ordered before our little meeting split. (F/d) came and nudged against me and I stoked their snout.
"I know, I don't like this either" I whisper gazing into the eyes reflecting the same hazel as me.
"I hope you're going to listen to your own orders too. You've been through a lot" Yusei said before stealing all of (f/d)'s attention. I smiled weakly and went into his arms. We've been through a lot and ever since we've confessed our feelings it's been harder to spend any time with him. I kinda think it's part of the curse that my 'dad' talked about.
"You're thinking again...stop" Yusei called and I snapped out of my thoughts. He raised his eyebrows but I shook my head and nuzzled into his chest. He sat against my dragon and I climbed onto his lap and rested against him. He slowly started to pet my head and that's when I felt the exhaustion catch up to me.
"Sleep...I'll keep watch for now" Yusei muttered.
Yusei Pov
With (Y/n) resting on me, I finally get the chance to hold my girl again. It's been two weeks since we confessed but honestly, it feels like years since we've had a moment's peace. The girl who I thought I knew is gone now and replaced with (Y/n). In a way, she's like me and she understands the pain I've gone through since I lost my parents but if she really did live through 2 other lifetimes then she's been through the pain three times now. But even now when there is a small chance we can fail, she keeps her head high and is the one ensuring that things go to plan. Without her, we would all be a mess.
"Make sure you get to rest too," Crow said coming as sitting next to me. I nodded but sleep was nowhere to be seen around me.
"And when you're out there, take care of her for me alright. Out of everyone, I'm glad you were the one that she gave her heart to" he smirked and I let out a small laugh.
"Finally going to accept this huh. Well, I assure you, I've got her" I responded.
"I had to at this point, Akiza is the one who helped push me to the decision" he shrugged with a slight blush. We both enjoyed the silence for a few moments before he got up and bid goodnight. As he settled near the rest of the group, my thoughts returned to the girl laying against me. If she had this strong of a tie to the Dark Signers and the Crimson Dragon then what is going to happen when we defeat them, because we will. There is no "if" here, we're going to win.
(Y/N)'s Pov
Yusei woke me up the next morning and despite not remembering any dream, my body felt drained. (F/d) still had all their energy so I found it a little strange. I shook it off as we gathered with the rest of the group. We'll be parting ways and depending on where we split off too, it could be a while until we see each other again.
The goodbyes were short and sweet and a little soggy thanks to Crow. He is always so emotional at these moments. Luckily Akiza had her ways of getting him out of there. Yusei and I were the last to leave, each of us on our own Duel Runners, riding silently. When we arrive I see Rex waiting there, his pale chest exposed and covered in Dark Signer Marks, resembling a beast. Yusei joins my side as we both approach slowly.
"Ready?"
"Ready"

Hey my lovely readers, so sorry for my lack of updates through the summer...my parents bought a trailer in which we had 13 camping trips....not bad except I had to study for my finals on two trips...
Anyhoo I'll eventually get to updating my YouTube channel too with the read-overs once the book is done. As the title states, we are nearing the end of (Y/n)'s adventure there are going to be 3 more chapters left. I've changed the ending a little bit or a lot a bit since I can't remember how it goes ever well and because our lovely (Y/n) isn't in the original one.
Also anyone who uses Wattpad on a computer you must get this extension: InteractiveFics. It allows you to change Y/n and all the other jazz like that to the things representing your own OC. Just make sure to disable the extension on other websites since it can make it slow....this works on Wattpad, Quotev, Tumblr and I think AO3...so try it out if a want
