20. Separate Ways

We all sat at the table the next morning to dicuss our plan of action. (Y/N) came into room soon after I did. It was only the two of us and well...it was kinda awkward. Only last night we admitted our feelings and had my first kiss. Crow caught us and it was pretty funny.

When (Y/N) looked me, cheeks heated up and she giggled. By the look on her face, I doubt she got any sleep last night. It was a common thing now, all those duel spirits have been keeping her awake with the coming duels.

"Tired?"

"Maybe"

"You?"

"Yeah...I missed kissing you last night"
I teased seeing her face turn into a tomato. God I love this girl. I leaned over to kiss her cheek but she turned her head so our lips met.

"Better" We pulled away quickly before another person came into the room. The twins followed Akiza then Jack came in with a very grumpy Crow trailing.

He glared at me and sat next to his sister. (Y/N) stuck her tongue out at him as Jack pulled out our old base map.

"You still had that! I thought Kalin ripped it up" (Y/N) asked moving next to Jack.

The map seemed to be in decent shape but there were black marker all over it.

"This isn't going to work. We can't see a thing!" Crow whined but (Y/N) remained silent. Her eyes scanned over the page and mumbled to herself. Crow and Jack were bickering over it and Luna joined (Y/N) as she started drawing things out.

"Yes! There now we can see it!" (Y/N) claimed as she did a similar drawing to the original map. Except it was labeled by certain bases we over took years ago. I forgot that (Y/N) spent a lot of time with Kalin and she spent a long time studying it.

"Now we all just need to take a section and defeat the Dark Signers and close the towers" She said after slapping both Crow and Jack on the back of their heads.

Once everyone had an idea of where they were going, we had a few minutes to get ready before we set off. (Y/N) was going with Luna to the Spirit world and I was going on my own. I stayed behind for a little while to make sure Trudge was still okay with stay with the kids.

Afterwards I ran to her room to talk to her but she wasn't there. I went to check every room but she still wasn't there.
I was nervous that she already left until I heard her voice calling out. I went into the yard and found her in a dog-pile with the kids. Lucky I got them distracted and we ran back to her room.

"Yusei...please be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you like with Kalin" (Y/N) muttered placing her head in the crock of my neck. I hummed in response holding her close to me. We both stood there in silence enjoy each others presence in case something happens.

"You better be safe too, or Crow's going to kill me" She laughed as we broke apart. She stood on her toes and kissed me on the cheek before we both said goodbye.

Luna and (Y/N) waved bye before Luna muttered something and they dissappear in a flash of rose light.

"Please be safe (Y/N)" I muttered heading back to my runner. It was time for me to face Roman and I was going to end this once and for all.
