12. Grand Performance

Jordan strolled down to his Mercedes Benz, he loved it , all black just how he likes it . But instead he put on his cap , black mask and sunglasses and went strolling down the sideway . After a while he spotted a cafe and entered in the homey environment.The cafe had many couches and less of tables , it also had this mini library with bean bags where you could settle down to read a book with your coffee in hand . He strolled over to a table and ordered a coffee while playing with the paperweight carrying the cafe's logo - Lover's bay .

His mind wandered to Rose immediately.The girl was not only beautiful on the outside but also had a kind considerate heart .To think of this noble deed one needed to be selfless and determined .He saw she was confident but not overconfident , her body posture and her eyes screamed the fact. He could see she handled all conditions calmly only after thinking about it carefully.

The way she handled the situation back in the office was impressive.She didn't lose her professionalism or calm posture to run behind a rich handsome lad . Instead she focused on what was important. Truly speaking Jordan would have been disappointed if she would have jumped on him or squealed like a dolphin on seeing him. It would have meant she was not serious and determined for her task .

As he sipped the coffee he couldn't help but appreciate it internally . It was one of the best .So to move his mind away from the crazy girl , he decided to skim through the books kept there . Them and the coffee kept him busy for the next 2 hours .

Just as he returned back , he saw Louis checking the exam . Rose sat there with a calm expression but a look at her hands and Jordan could tell she was hell nervous .She was continuously playing with the gold rose shaped ring in her finger . The ring was a simple gold rose with a diamond at the centre but it suited her .

Jordan sat down on the couch next to her and kept a hand on her's to stop her actions .It was annoying. Rose jolted up shocked and glanced over at him with a curious look.Jordan had no reason to explain his actions .

Was it because he simply wanted to feel her touch once ? Yup definitely yes . Or was it to stop her annoying actions ? Partly true . But how should he explain this to her ?

So before he could utter a word , Louis saved the day.

"So Ro... Oh Jordan !! You are at the right time . I was about to announce her results . "

Rose got anxious waiting nervously while Jordan looked forward in anticipation. Rose started wringing her fingers again much to Jordan's annoyance. He had already removed his hand not wanting any awkwardness or wrong hints between them . Jordan willed himself against his strong desire and stared right at Louis.

He wanted to know wether the girl here is all looks or has she got the calibre in her ? Looks don't matter , he had this principle in his mind since long. He couldn't deny the fact that meeting a person for the first time your mind automatically starts judging them . But after that intial moment it's all upto you to let it reign your thoughts or decisions in future. So he had always had this control over his thoughts .

Louis went all serious suddenly , " Rose I had expected anything but this from you "

Her calm facade began to fade away , her heart beat quickened , her hands fisted her dress tightly , her eyebrows scrunched a bit , her eyes a bit wider than usual and her lips parted . She wasn't expecting this line at all , she thought it went well . His tone didn't seem to mean that .

Louis was trying hard to maintain his facade after seeing her priceless expression , but being the jolly man he is he lost it and started laughing leaning back into his flush leather chair .

" Oh god Louis !!" Jordan sighed

Rose stared dumbfounded. She had understood what was happening but was not in terms to accept it , what is she was wrong and jumped onto conclusion causing her further embarrassment?

"What ? I really didn't expect this .She has aced it with a perfect score when this was meant for sophomore finals . That's insane ." Louis concluded .

Rose let out a sigh of relief as Jordan stared at her dumbfounded.How could a freshman , that too just a week old score perfect in a sophomore exam? This was literally insane .

Rose turned to look at him and couldn't stifle her laughter .Small perils of laughter left her mouth as she tried to cover her mouth. He just looked that cute . Jordan snapped out of his thoughts only to be lost again in her adorable face and angelic laughs . Louis snickered at his reaction .

" Rose I'm extremely impressed and happy to announce that we can commence with your plans. Give me a copy of your schedule so that I can arrange your duties accordingly. You might be working with different doctors on your duties but I think you'll manage , right?"

After getting a firm nod he continued, " We'll begin from Wednesday and I'll hand over your ID and we'll finish any other formalities then itself . For now congratulations dear , you've become the youngest intern in the history of Heal Touch Hospital." He concluded throwing his hands in air .

Rose grinned large with slight tears in her eyes looking at Dr. Juniper as if he was an angel in disguise .She clapped her hands together and chuckled slightly drying off the sheen of tears. Jordan was amused , this was the first time he had seen someone cry in such a situation. He thought she would jump up in excitement at the most but it was Rose and she had not failed to amaze him even once till now .

" Thank you Dr. Juni... Oh ! I mean Louis . You just made my dream come true " Louis had told her to cut down on the formalities. He had felt much at home with her .She just made everyone feel at ease around her .

" It's all you dear , all you "

" I'll take your leave then . Thanks once again Louis and Mr. River "

" Jordan "

" Sorry? "

" It's Jordan for you Rose . I thought we would be past formalities till now , at least after your grand performance at the concert." This earned him a scowl , a cute one at that. " But anyways , congratulations, you did great "

Rose put on a sweet smile , way too sweet ." Why thanks Jordan " special emphasis on his name " I am so grateful to have been congratulated by the world's biggest pop star . Thanks to you for taking out special time to notice my grand performance at your concert " special emphasis on grand performance again .

She smiled again and nodded towards Louis who was trying his best to stifle his laughter while looking highly amused . She then turned back and moved out of the office with her head held high .

Jordan stared at her back with his jaw slacking off his face . His throat wasn't supporting him and his brain had stopped working.

" Did she just mock me while telling me that I'm the greatest pop star of the world ? How can she even do that?"

" Heck Yeah! She was just awesome there right now . It's rare to see you speechless . This picture is going to be my lock screen for a long while now ." Louis laughed out loud while showing Jordan his picture from just moments ago .

Jordan's ears turned pink and he got up to leave his office immediately.'This girl is something else ' he thought shaking his head as he exited the place. He couldn't afford to get any more embarrassed now .

Jordan looked down at his phone smirking .He had sneeked her number from her resume .

' Just wait for me little Rose ' he snickered to himself .
