16. Most Memorable Moment

Knowing Rose , she was really bad at keeping secrets. All the girls had decided to get together in her room for a girl's night. They hadn't had one in ages . Claire was sneaked in too .The girls had kept the security busy till she sneaked past them .

Rose couldn't keep that stupid grin off her face. She liked the time she spent with him . It was good to see someone you've admired all your life to be sitting in front of you talking to you like a normal person would .He listened intently to her ideas about helping the needy and she excitedly heard him talking about his love for music and his upcoming world tour. She had even complained that he never came to India and he had promised he'll try his best to add it to his next tour .

" I never knew I had so many fans in India too . I would have definitely come earlier if I had known better "

" Really ? Well that's your loss "

" Yeah ! Seems like a missed on a lot "

Now that she thought about it , she couldn't place a finger on the emotions she saw in his eyes then but she let it be .

" Earth to Roe "

" Miss Rose Evelyn Wilder "

This brought her out of her trance as she looked at her friends.Claire was looking at her curiously, Amelia was flaying her hands as usual , Catherine was snapping at Rose and Stephanie was amused .

" Huh ... Yeah ! That was great " she gave a shot ,smiling sheepishly.

" You think him bumping into me and shouting at me in the middle of the corridor was great ? " Catherine asked with bewildered.

" Oh no no no .. I meant .. I .. I'm sorry I zoned out " she admitted .

" Figured "

" Quite obvious"

" So what or who is making you smile like that as if you are throwing stars from your eyes ? "

" Amelia can you stop putting Shinchan in every situation ?"

" What ? Shinchan is awesome ."

Everybody sighed knowing her craziness about Shinchan . She had even decided her dog's name would be Shero that is if she is ever allowed to keep one . Her family hated having dog hair everywhere in their house and she literally felt as offended as any dog would have felt hearing that .

" Hey ! Don't drift off the topic . so Eve ??" Claire wiggled her eyebrows.

Rose couldn't lie even if she wanted to. This was too much for her to keep in her little tummy. Moreover she wanted them to know everything. She didn't want to be guilty for keeping another thing for them. One was enough for a lifetime. So she spilled everything about her day and the evening .

They heard with unbatted eyes and shock etched on their faces.When she finished, they were still gaping at her . They broke out of the trance only when she clapped in front of their faces.

" OMG Rose "

" Jordan River. Dinner . You both " Stephanie stammered.The poor girl wasn't even able to make a whole sentence.

" ROE !!! YOU ARE SO LUCKY "

" Damn Eve !! Jordan out of all the boys in the world? The best ? "

" Shut up guys . It was just a friendly dinner . He wanted someone to show him a place to fill his rumbling stomach . I was there and so he asked me . simple " she tried to shrug it off casually . But they knew better .

" Simple ? A simple dinner with Jordan River? Which hotel did you say you went to ? Come again. "

" No hotel Catherine. I took him to Joe's ."

" Joe's?? ARE YOU MAD ??"

" Geez woman !! Calm down . Stop blasting my ears ."

"Oh God Rose. You took the Jordan River to the diner next door ? "

" Why ? Isn't he a human? Or are we not humans? If we can eat there happily then why can't he ?" She was full blown fuming now . What is it with people treating like they are damn kings who can't eat what they ate regularly?

" Oh ok ok Miss everyone is equal . That's not what I meant . I just meant that he might not be comfortable as it was not like him ."

" So ? He asked me to take him out somewhere or for the matter of fact anywhere . So he will have to bear up with wherever I want to go . Wether he likes it or not ." She huffed .

She didn't want to think of him as a big rockstar or something. She wanted to treat him as a person, as a friend, not as some inaccessible doll in the store. If he doesn't want it, he wants her to be like those Fangirls who would change themselves, from looks to personality by his one click , then he is on the wrong path .

Jordan was infact amused .He thought that just like other Fangirls or the girls with whom he went on a date , she would choose a five star grand restaurant. Instead she chose a homey decent diner with such wonderful food and calming environment making you feel at ease . He felt like Jordan truly and deeply after such a long time. He didn't feel like a price tag or an artefact for show .

All this show and glamour and stars were taking toll and this was what he wanted .Rose just gave it to him along with her cheerful presence . He had never enjoyed food this much in life .The small conversations she made , not about his riches , his famous life , his mansions but about himself , he felt truly happy . He was truly happy , happy with her .

" Oh gosh ! Rose you know him , he knows you , where are we ? We wanna meet him too . Call him on another dinner or lunch or snacks or anything , it doesn't matter , we have to meet him too . " Stephanie squealed

" Yeah ! Yeah ! I completely agree . Rose you have to do this for us. "

" Pretty please Roe ."

" With a cherry on the top . No wait , two cherries on the top . "

Rose looked baffled. She never thought about it. Now that they brought up the topic , she was stuck . Their pouty faces and big puppy eyes weren't helping either. So as always she caved in . Just like that.

" Ok ! Ok ! I'll try ." The four lost puppies found their voices and they squealed

" Hey ! Hey ! Guys at least listen to me , I said I'll TRY . This clearly means that i am not at all su-"

" Oh that doesn't matter . I will most probably meet JORDAN RIVER. OMG ! ! . Someone pinch me . Qui... OUCH !!! That was one hell of a pinch. " Catherine shrieked .

Rose sighed ' what have I gotten myself into . I'm so gonna regret it . God save me .' she shook her head sighing again.

Amelia noticed this .

" Hey girl ! Have some faith in us . This is gonna be the most memorable moment of your life . "

" Not helping Mels . Seeing you all , this surely is gonna be ' the most memorable moment' . I have no doubt . Trust me ." Sarcasm and exasperation dripping from her voice .

All giggled at her exasperated look and the whole night was spent discussing the gonna be ' most memorable moment " Rose was so not sure about the coming day. For the millionth time she pleaded all the powers sitting up there to let everything pass well . With that thought swirling in mind , she layed down into a dreamless sleep .
