13. Long Lost Friend?

Rose practically skipped down in excitement beaming to anyone and everyone she met on the way .Many returned the gesture while some looked at her awkwardly.

" Hey Melini !!" She almost squealed bending over the table to give her a bear hug. To say that the poor girl was taken aback would have been an understatement. She was baffled .

" Hi Rose" she said after a slight break awkwardly patting her shoulder. Rose pulled away still beaming bright not noticing her discomfort. Melini couldn't help but smile genuinely at her. She just had that magic about her twinkling eyes and white beaming smile which made everyone comfortable and lift up their mood. This was just Rose for you .

Jordan who had been following behind watched her all the while from the shadows. All this while he had a small smile playing on his face .He was an introvert who didn't like to show his emotions much except for on stage . On stage it was like there was a split personality of Jordan standing there. It was difficult, quite difficult to make him react to people. He had learnt it the hard way . He had seen that showing true emotions in this industry was stupid .You have to control your emotions to control your life and career.

He trotted closer to the reception just as Rose lifted her face. Giving her a mock salute and a wink he exited the building leaving behind a fuming Rose and a gaping Claire .

Rose turned around to say something and spotted Claire. As if all her anger puffed into the air , she squealed and ran over to her taking her by surprise. She jumped on her and brought her attention to her .

" I did it Meri !!! I did it !!! "

Claire winced at the loud sound but hugged her friend tighter .

" I knew it Eve ! I knew you could do it ! I'm so proud of you , so so very proud "

Rose beamed and hugged her again . Claire laughed and pulled her to her car . Since she had come here a month before Amelia and Rose , she was able to buy a car for herself. That's when suddenly the bulb in her mind lit up and she stopped suddenly causing Rose to bump into her . Rose looked over Claire's shoulder to see what stopped them but there was nothing.

Claire spun on her heel and held Rose by her shoulder tightly .

" You know I just saw Jordan River here . The Jordan River. As in the .."

" Yeah yeah Meri , I know which Jordan River" she gritted out his name .

Claire noticed it and immediately narrowed her eyes at Rose .

" So you mean you knew ? "

" Knew ? That stupid , irritating , self absorbed, egoistic brat was here all the time and yes I knew this ." Rose gritted out again fisting her hands.

Claire raised an eyebrow. Rose sighed and told her about their encounter. Claire gawked at her with her jaw hanging down her face.

" So you mean HE , JORDAN RIVER not only remembered you but was also a pain in the a... Ouch " she received a smack. " Ok !Ok !! But was also teasing you all this while just like you both were long lost friend? "

Rose blushed while thinking how he teased her about her ' grand performance' but snorted all the same .

" Long lost friend? Seriously Meri ? He was just having his fun . Must have been bored sitting there so why not pass some time playing around with this beautiful girl ?"

It was Claire who snorted this time at her beautiful girl comment . What ? She wasn't going to accept this fact in front of her best friend. Didn't want her ego to grow now .

" Let's get you home Eve !! He has seriously messed up your mind ."

Reaching the college premises she was tackled by her five super happy friends. She was confused but a single look at a grinning Claire gave her all the answers . How she had managed to tell them without even a spec of suspicion was beyond Rose .
