The girl responds with a hint of amusement at his lack of acknowledgment, more enjoying the frustrated and furious looks of her pursuers than anything else. Amused the thugs are not, however, as their leader orders them to advance.
They close in quickly. Growling as they prepare to, what they believe, is about to be an easy massacre. Of course they are hilariously mistaken. For as soon as the goons approach to close, Sariffall turns his head to finally give them some recognition.
The woman intuitively hoists her body to a stand against her tightened muscles protests and throws herself behind a particularly large stump Sariffall had caused earlier that day. Of course she didn't know this. Even still, protection the stump still gave as one of the bandits from the ground rushed towards Sariffall with a club raised over his head in hand. His allies lay back for the time being to gauge Sariffall's skill. And so begins the slaughter.
Sariffall swiftly responds by catching the men's club with his bare hands, eliminating all force from its attack, before ripping it from the thugs grasp; he immediately throws the wooden weapon at another of the bandits attempting to charge at him from behind. The club flies through the air in a bler, making contact with the second grunts chest, and continuing momentum. Lifting him from the ground, it carries him off the ground and straight into one of the many Redwood trees giving the forest its title.
Though mighty and strong the Redwood may stand, its house-sized stem gives way to the force of the collision. Its bole splinters and cracks until finally giving way to Earth's ever tantalizing pull. And pull gravity does as the tree topples over onto a poor few of the group that happened to be under its falls.
